Cool this route gets better and better, hey maybe if you do a little more research about the nec maybe you'll be able to do the project even faster knowing some backround knowledge about the route.

Uh dude I have binders full of information from various Amtrak employees. I have track charts, speeds, milepost marker placements, gauges, signalling layouts and even an AEM-7DC Operators Manual.

I have also poured over maps for hours and satellite imagery.

The reason why that stretch took so long because:

A. Its decently busy scenery-wise.
B. I did and hour in the morning, went railfanning, then came back and finished it in an additional 2.

I'm trying here bud....

Very nice work. I eagerly await this route as I've been playing with the first NEC rout I found on here a few years ago and it's time for some changes.I am in anticapation due to the fact that I'm New Englander that been transplanted to the deep south and miss the old stomping grounds of boston, nyc, philly, balt. Your marvelous creation will be my fix for being away for 15 years..:hehe:
Thanx to all the creators of content for this sim (btw, I hopes this works in trs2004 - its all I have...)

Thanx...

Thank you very much for your compliments! I hope it will have a good level of immersion for others when playing in the route. Not many people live or have lived near the NEC so it would be new for them or in your case its nice it'll bring back some memories.

In regards to TRS2004, I am currently working with it TS2009 and I want to be able to backdate it to previous versions of Trainz, some say its impossible but I have heard of some accomplishing it. We are still a ways off from release so we'll retouch on that down the line.

Thanks again for the support!:D

Oh and a quickie Surveyor shot to show how the area has taken shape:

Here a SB Northeast Regional, which has now regained track speed after stopping at B.W.I., is passing by a quiet playground in Severn, MD (all the kids must be in school:p ) :

Next WIP Area:

This area is where I'm tinkering around now. The bridge in the background (South) is Maryland Route 100. All of the water here is actually very shallow and next will get covered in water reeds etc. We also have some assorted warehouses trackside but they do not have any rail connections.

We are near MP 109 here and BWI is at 106.3 so we are getting very close to our next Amtrak stop on the route.

I doubt I'll get there this weekend but I am hoping soon!

I'm still starting this area so plenty of open space and base textured tiles.

Thumbs Up and the some Applause!

Hey Davis,

Good to see so much progress since I last visited your thread!
I am still amazed by your accuracy and attention to detail, it is very nice and you should be proud of it.
Its to bad Corey and them shut down VGB, all those thread bumps got me to thinking how all those unfinished projects would have been just the thing for your route.
At least they got the AEM-7 released eh?:D

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,
Woody:wave:

Thanks I appreciate the complements!

And yeah all of his vaporware would have been nice to go along with this route but I've moved past that.
