Northeast Corridor Newport News, VA to Boston-South Station, MA (1024x 768 pixels)

Not a problem, don't rush to complete this fantastic route,I can wait!

Yeah thanks. I basically crank on it when I can but right now I probably won't be able to get on for a week. But, that might be good because it gives me time to think it over and browse satellite images.

looking awesome any idea when you'll reach the Philadelphia, Pa Area?

Well hopefully I'll get to Baltimore before the year is out but Philly may be a while. I don't want to rush things because then quality starts deteriorating. We'll see, I'll keep you guys posted.

Davis:D

well you can use the current nec on the dls from wilimington to phily. All that needs to be done is add the secenery that on the route with no need to worry about the dircetion because the route builder already made it as geographically real as possible.marinemania

Small Update...

Hello,

Last night and this morning I got a little more progress accomplished. I pretty much finished up what I want the SB side of Odenton to look like in the station area.

Work has commenced on the NB side. I am starting to put in staircases for access to the High Level Platforms at the station. Also, the handicap access ramps have been started on. After I finish that bit up I'll work on railings and parking. Then scenery on both sides and connecting the short distance down to the MoW base.

Also, the laying of track and ATLS enabled grade crossings for the spur off the No. 1 track to "National Plastics Co." will need to be done soon and will have scenery.

I intend to have all spurs and branches that come off the NEC to be built so that way people can do industry runs and also if Secondaries and Subdivisions of mainlines branch off (i.e. CSX's Pope's Creek Secondary) I will build them a little ways down the line and place portals until (if I ever) continue them on to their destination.

Expect screenshots this weekend, also I hope to be able to get my speed charts so I can start implementing the marvelous NEC speed signs Robby made me.

Questions? Comments? Post.

Davis:)

Nice, incorporating the Awesome Traffic Light System I see. Looking forward Davis, keep up the great work! :D

Thanks guys. Yeah BB711 I thought it was really cool how you could do more custom crossings and better timing with that system.

That's funny, I have reason to believe it's Alternative Traffic Light System (ATLS) but let's not get technical.

Advanced Traffic Light System's the name. I just rephrase it as Awesome since it allows the most realistic phases in my FEC routes. Cannot model Tropical FL in TRS without it.

We wan't pictures already!!!

Okay well tonight I want to regauge the track and such to prototypical ex-PRR standards. Tommorow morning I'm gonna grab some chow at IHOP and head over to Union Station to pick up the speed charts.

Pictures, hmmmm... i'll see what I can mange tommorow.

No real competition to me because:

- He is not doing a realistic route. If he is doing the whole thing and starting in D.C., there is NO WAY he could be in NYC unless he crunched his route dramatically like so many do.

-His track is not realistic, I have charts and inside knowledge of Amtrak (hell, Im getting my speed charts today).

-His scenery isn't too hot and he hasn't done much.

-There's more but Im too tired to think straight.

So I dont mean to insult him, I like what he's doing but mine actually feels like the NEC and looks decent IMHO.

I hope you guys will still support my route too because I'm really trying!
