(Nightmode) Nigh Buildings - Now Cities will never sleep!!

Thank you for some Great buildings. when i get home ill post a pic i created a fictional city with like 20 or so of them...

I would like to download all of these buildings for a big steam railroad I have in mind, but that is going to have to wait because of big problems on my notebook and I will be gone for a while and not to mention I have a train show to attend and as soon as I obtain a new one, I'll be back as soon as I can,but otherwise keep up the good work!:(
 
Hi Andrew,

Most of those buildings are yet to be updated to night mode. Make sure you download the buildings made for TR04 -- all of those are night modes -- for example, just head to the DLS, check TR04, type my name Ish6, click user-name, then scroll through the categories and mark buildings -- you will see all of the night mode buildings available.

However, using CMP, you can easily download the updated buildings, since the kuids are identical!

Excellent -- any building in your layout that I've made into night mode, that you might download, should replace those buildings in your layout! After downloading, Andrew, make it night time on the layout, to double check how many you may have.

Also, since you have buildings that are not yet updated, I strongly recommend you check this thread from time to time, as I will update it with each upload ... :wave:

i Downloaded all the updates it seems my CMP is not downloading the new update, its finding on my local folder and not loading the new one i think, i will delete them and then download the night update once i sort it out ... it seemed like executive offices wouldn't update..

but i had a empty space on my new layout on the other side of the mountain used for my loop completion and droped one down for fun and it looked to good so heres what where i went. .. GO PHILLIES !!!!

Hey Andrew,

Not sure why the executive buildings are not being updated... Still, keep in mind that all none-night mode buildings are made for trainz v1.5 ... all of the new and updated buildings are for version 2.4 (TRZ04 and beyond, etc) ....

I'm sure when you sorted out you will have all of the night modes, etc!

Sorry I can't help with CMP, since I am not so familiar with it.... I ask a couple of friends to post on this thread.... perhaps, they can help you with that!:wave:

Hey Andrew,

You have buildings that I have NOT made into night mode yet! For example. the white bright building... I would never upload such a building -- doesn't look realistically, among others on the screen shot.

This could be an issue on my part, but if you can please check your CMP for the office Towers 1-9, and double check the kuids for those buildings ... I would appreciated it!! If you could, please note the kuids and PM them to me or just note down on this thread!!

Hopefully, this is just an error, and not anyone trying to modified my buildings, without permission!!

After your email Ish to have a look, this is the first time I have been able to post here.

I have been playing around with the new downloads and CM2 and in a way I can see an error maybe showing but it is not an error.

I have downloaded many of the new buildings but not all. When I transfer them from 2004 to 2009 I also save them in an Archive file.

In CM2 if I look at the content on the download station I can see one item "kuid:58223:28233" dated October 28th, 2009 with a symbol to show "Update available". So knowing that Ish is updating his content and from the date I may think this is a new "updated" item. So if I move it to the Download Helper and then press "Start" I am shown a RED error down the bottom saying some thing like "Couldn't Obtain a Download URL". So I and others think there is some wrong there but it is not really wrong, its a strange way that CM2 and the Download Station work.

What has actually happened is that I downloaded the new update "kuid2:58223:28233:1" to TRS2004 and then transfered a copy to 2009 as well. The date I transfered the content on was October 28, 2009. Now in CM2 this item is no longer on the DLS, it is in my "Local" folder and what is left on the DLS is the original "old" item kuid:58223:28233, dated October 28th, 2009. The original item was uploaded and available for Download was January 11, 2005.

For some reason CM2 changes the dates around once you install the Updated Version. This then makes people think they have an error or that Ish has a problem with his uploads, when there is none.

Hope this makes some sense :hehe: because it is very strange :confused:

Hi Craig, and thanks for looking into this...

It doesn't surprise me that CMP and/or DLS has issues!! That's one reason why I post the links on this thread, with each upload/updated contents.

Zec has inform us as well, that the system is acting strangely when it comes to reading the files being uploaded!!

Awesome ! i am gonna make a new layout using these asap.. I want to make a subway system or like a L system like philadelphia...
