maybe it's just me Gordon, but those windows compared to the real life version doesn't look to scale. Your model ones look to big

Jamie

EDIT: After a quick google search, It seems the 777 doesn't have window exits either here

If you click on the link I provided for the hobbit B777-300 a few post's back you will see that where the 2 doors are over the wing there should be just one, as in the picture below.

I'm not a rivet counter, looks good to me and thats what counts.

It's not bad, will fine tune it some more yet by blending the edges. As for Wellington airport still have alot to do as you can see by the above pics, haven't worked on that map for about a year now.

Have a few more models for airports to work on as well so will try and get that done over the next few weeks, watch this space.

Boeing 737 - Virgin Australia

Meet the Virgin Twins.
These two are re-painted in the current Virgin Australia livery. These two are split only by the satelite TV barnicle on one & their identification numbers.

These should be available on DLS very soon.

The C-17 is now available. Rob and I had a chat on additional options and animations, hence the delay, thanks Rob for the input.

It now includes flaring, flaps and spoilers. Of course the flaring causes the shadow to show on the top of the aircraft, but the shadow does look good on the ground when landing, always compromises.

Additionally, the reverse thrust operates when the aircraft reverses, this is how the C-17 goes backwards.

Please read the config description on the new trigger options, not used before, including using the track Aircraft Action triggers to reduce the speed for landing, and stopping the aircraft gradually after landing.

Hope you like it.

Ian

Thanks for the comments guys, appreciated.

Ish, a script must be part of a particular model, most actions rely on part of the model being separately animated, so the script can manipulate them directly through keys or trigger settings. The slow down and stop functions for a model could be used on other models as these functions communicate with Trainz speed settings, not the model animations.

Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the info!!!

Sorry, I did not catch this before since I do not really read the forum all that much these days!

Take care, sir

Hi Ian,

Excellent !!! :udrool:

My Desert layout, which still sits in my folders have 5 airports set up -- might have to drive the C-17 from one regional airport to the other LOL

Take care, sir

The Globemaster has my official thumbs up. Having tested it I can confirm that it has loads of tricks. Thanks Ian for letting me be involved in the development of this great aircraft.
I'll get started on re-paints for the RCAF (designated CC-177) & USAF versions shortly.

The Aero Union P-3s are awesome (along with everything else in this thread). I'm just now starting with TS12, used to own 2006 back in the day. Can someone enlighten me on how the DLS works? I download through the content manager and it'll download certain dependencies, and not the aircraft. It turns red in the content manager and that's it. So far out of 10 attempts at downloading different things I haven't been able to successfully download a single workable item. (but I have a bunch of the elements like "smoke crop spray".

Thanks for the encouragement "kickZtailout". The Aero Unions are my babies (with lots of modelling & programming help from Vulcan). If you like the firefighters, also have a look at the 747 Evergreen Supertankers (also my children). There are also the float plane & the Catelina's by Vulcan & Papou.

As far as Content Manager & DLS are concerned.....
I've had pretty good success with Content Manager because it should automatically upload the dependencies as well. Unfortunately the availability of the host server can be an issue. You may find it quicker to click on the "Download Station" button at the top of this page & search for the assets through that site. Once you find the asset click on the "Download Page" option then the "Download file via direct FTP link". This will let you download the asset comparatively quickly & more reliably. All you have to do then is "Import cdp" from your hard drive (wherever you downloaded it to) in Content Manager & you're good to go.
What it won't do is download the dependancies (eg. "smoke crop spray") so you will have to download each of those individually. The "Download Page" tells you what they are, but you still have to download them one at a time.

Content Manager is easier but unreliable for larger assets. Many of Vulcan's main aircraft models fall into that category but they are absolutely worth it.

Hope that helps,

Rob

Boeing CC-177 Globemaster RCAF

Touching down with reverse thrusters & spoilers deployed is the new member of the Globemaster family, the Royal Canadian Airforce CC-177.

The RAAF Globemaster no longer has to stand alone.

I've also generated a new RCAF jeep Product that I've just upload to DLS. This will need to be downloaded along with the CC-177 as it is a dependency.

Hi Ian & Rob,

I just DL and run the Globemaster.
It's really an amazing plane! It's all what we can expect from aircrafts in Trainz.
Congratulation for this nice achievement.

Hello,

To populate our old airfields, I made a batch of Dragon Rapide & Tiger moths, flying and static, with various colors.
All decorations are of course fictive. Just for fun, to visit a map from above.

Currently arriving at the DLS.

Thanks to Jayholland for the Rapide and to Vulcan for the Moth (for which he managed to issue a static model)
