Bear in mind that this is my inner war machinery nut talking, but you'd probably want to make the Me262 a tricycle and not a tail-dragger. The Germans found that the plane had better takeoff performance when they put a nose gear on. It took too long for the plane to lift its tail when it was in that configuration (tail-dragger) and needed a ridiculously long runway for takeoff. which, by the time the plane was in service, was more than the German's could afford to have sitting out in the open and in view of the American Bomber streams.

just a thought...didn't mean to turn that into a WWII lesson
