Got Model Railroads?

The Layout is now not just a Plan!!!

It now actually exists. It has a passing siding, a small spur (not yet completed) a 4% grade on one end, and a 2% grade on the other end

Wow, now it isn't just a table with a lot of stuff on it and train tracks, it is a table with a lot of stuff on it and train tracks you can drive trains on!:hehe: All joking aside, that looks really nice Klinger. I can remember the first time I got a chance to run a train on the layout my brother and I used to share. My dad got about 6 inches wired and I ran a locomotive back and forth on that same 6 inches of track for at least ten minutes!

I wish i could post pics, but i had to tear it down:(

Basically, it was a piece of insuation foam board on top of a cut piece of plywood, painted green and with the track pinned directly to the foam. the only scenery was a poorly-made hydrocal/newspaper/cardboard mountain with a tunnel under it, and a river cut with a screw driver...not even with water!

(PS, don't worry about me, the layout will rise from the ashes...just need to get my parents to help me clean out the garage first:o)

I have a layout. I have no pictures, no working locos and no working transformers, so it's a bare track with one railway crossing and a truck.

But I do have a working battery-operated German loco that fits, which is better than nothing!

A couple of recent additions to my model railway (was playing around with our light tent) :)

Made the single largest investment in my life on an IHC Premier 4-8-2 numbered 3001 for the New York Central. This baby has cost me only $10 in cash, $40 in store credit for traded in items, and $40 in labor credit from my parents. Yep, this loco cost me $89.95, but, it is a great runner and it has a light in the tender that turns on when you change the direction to reverse. I must say, I am pleased with my investment.

Oh my. That is quite the loco there, Klinger.

She is quite honestly my baby. Very first Brass Locomotive I ever owned, very first HOn3 locomotive I ever Owned.

My friend Sean painted her for me using his airbrush. We tried to get her as close as possible to what 278 looks like on Display, with a few extra touches to doll her up a bit. C-16's always look good dolled up.

My other piece of motive power is a WSMC C-25. Painted up as D&RGW 375, but without such a nice coat of paint. thats a future thing we are going to change, since 278 came out so nice. C-25 can handle about 6 cars up our 4% grade, while the C-16 is limited to 4 cars.

Amazing what a coat of Proper paint can do to a Brass Locomotive

ker-snip

someone call Cirramon...they're star piece has run away:D

but in all seriousness, if i had the money i'd be modelling HOn3. she's a looker, if i do say so myself.

Going even smaller again...

VR NA class, 14A, in Canadian Red livery (basically as preserved a few years ago, before repainting to black).

Built from a 10-15 year old kit, no longer available. Was lucky enough that a mate wanted to sell his one :)
