May I ask in the second to last pic why does it look like a tornado hit?I have 2 train sets myself 1 N-scale and 1 HO scale, How do you keep the steam locos from falling of the tracks,it seems to do it always when it goes across a bridge, then it plumts the drastic 3 inches to its grave, and I hoping that nothing breaks on it because of the fall.

I've got two, an HO NIA layout in my basement and a G (LGB) layout in my garden, I'll post some pics later once I get my camera working again.

I hate to brag, but I have a 11x24 foot shed for my lionel. Now if I could only afford to buy some more locos.

Simple proper weighting and carefully tuned track (at least on the bridges, it's always falling off somewhere else )
It took me some time, but I spent a few days installing weight (lead) in each car getting them up to the NMRA standards.
heh yeah the place was hit by a tornado alright. Basically school kept me busy so I didn't have time to clean it in 6 months. So if I did get time to work the mess just kinda piled up.

LOL I understand mine looked very similar, but the track is level, and the loco just feel of again, could it just be the loco its self?

$160? You pay cheap, for a decent engine over here it is getting to be about $260-$320. But most of them have a digital decoder and a metal body anyways, and they're made in Germany (not a certain communist regime abouts).

Ok I'll go get pics of mine, my layout only has the bords setup now, but I have so much stock its not funny

PS:WOOT!!:mop: IM SO HAPPY:'(

Im about 95% G scale here and I have a new N scale layout im working on at this point.

Right now Im in the process of moving to a new home with a nice lot and I'm going to probably have a new layout about 4 times the size of my current 15x30 layout.

I have currently about 90 pcs of rolling stock plus the engines below.

4 Dash 9s- UP Flags and Wings, BNSF Heritage II, NS Whiteface and a Southern Pacific
3 SD45's- Reading and Northern ( Custom Painted) Montana Rail Link ( also custom painted) and a NS High Hood SD45.
1 NW2- Bethlehem Steel
1 Railgrinder ( aka LGB Track Cleaner)

The current layout only has 10 foot diameter curves so the 20's will be a big step up for me.

Theres more pics floating around at http://1stclass.mylargescale.com/yutzk

Mine is an absolute mess right now.

If anyone is interested in the orange reefers please contact me! They are 40 or 50ft NYC steel reefers. I forget what. I weathered them but they are out of date for my layout. Well, whats planned for it atleast :hehe:

Yup the orange shay is the Roundhouse/MDC model (I spent 3 weeks carefully painting/assembling it and HOW DOES IT REPAY ME!). The #5 shay is my newest (and pride) Spectrum unit.

I've now built four of those MDC shays and have yet to get one to work. If you're planning anything with shays AVOID the headache! Spend the $400 on a solid brass one, it's well worth the money (if you're in HOn), though for standard guage the Spectrum is a great unit.

I bought and mdc inside frame 2-8-0, and well, when I done with it there will only be the frame, wheels and cylindars (spelling?) left. Hopefully I'll be able to build it into a 2-8-2 saddle tanker(to accomodate a larger motor) It was rather a mistake to buy it... I've done so much work on it that if I paid myself minmum wage I would have earned a couple hundred dollars!
