Fictional locomotives

How about an F unit combined with a uboat? (model/photo not mine)

That's actually a pretty neat looking model.

And this next is soooooooo gonna get me in trouble :hehe: with the moderators.

If an EMD F-unit is gene spliced with a GE U-boat, does that then make it an F-U-boat?

Many years ago when I was in On3 I scratch built a 2-6-6-2 using Kemtrom C-16 drivers and parts. Ran like a top. What I'd really like to see is an outside frame 2-6-6-2 in the same family as the K-36/37 series.

Do you have any pictures? I'd love to see it!

Hi Simulatortrain:

Unfortunately its long gone. I do have some of my old O/On3 items but they were stored in two (supposedly waterproof) metal containers. We had 26 inches of rain in 24 hours (Florida is a semi-tropical environment ya know). I assumed (dumb of me of course) they were ok. 3 months later when I went to get something out of one I found therre were full of water. You do not want to know what a Labelle kit looks like after spending that long in the water (mush). Locos themselve are ok (brass) but the drivers (mostly iron) and the Pitman motors are shot. Drivers were provided to me by William J. Lenoir who was one of the premier custom O scale loco builders in the 50s and 60's and has long since passed away. I take them out and look at them once in a while but thats about it (sniff, lol).

How about some modern NYC stuff; as seen here:

If the steam technology world had advanced, we could have gotten a bigger and much more powerful steam engine.

It would have the power of a Triplex, the speed of a Big Boy, and the conviniences of the Cab Forward.

All of this together would have been "The World's Tallest Freight Engine".

(Aka "The WTF" :p)
