Disappearing Turnouts

Being relatively new to editting routes I chose " Heartland American Winter" which features a pretty good switching yard. Unfortunately the turnouts are not visible unless you zoom all the way out. Then you can see them and their names. I have checked that the "Hide junctions" option is not selected. Can anyone shed any light on what would cause this disappearance to occur. Is it something the author could have set. It makes it not much sense as it is not possible to use the classification yard without the turnouts.

Can one of the veteran Trainz folk have a quick look at this layout and see if they can spot the problem? I am keen to know so I can try and fix it.

I have a similar problem with WHOO Megaroute but only in one area of the route. It's in the area the author calls "the main line" and the track disappears entirely. I also affects a board I added to the route adjacent to the affected area. I also have a problem with the route going dark from time to time. Apart from that it's one of the best routes I have played. I have not experienced this with any of my other routes. Help would be appreciated.

on the DLS kuid 101340:1168, it's one of a series made by gary_evans. It's got 1178 dependencies, of which I had 367 on the DLS. Be sure you have them all downloaded or you will not see them in the route.

Downloaded and had a look.

Right off the bat, there are 14 faulty assets in the map including the 4 high and low switch stands. Most of the other errors are trivial, missing attachment points, wrong tags which are easy to fix in CM. These are all from old assets, dating back to version 1.3 when there was little error checking. Probably one of the reasons there were sometimes performance issues as Trainz had to work around the errors

The switch stands appear to have textures in material slots that are not used but still referenced. Thanks to PEV and his PM2IM tool, these textures can be stripped out.

There were also some spelling mistakes in the mesh attachment names, luckily CM can see what they should be and rewrite the config file.

Once the faulty dendencies are corrected, the route show, switches and all.
