Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad

Ok, alright. I'm working on getting the gondolas set up in Trainz now. I'm worked over the leaf-spring Bettendorf bogey, replacing the leaf springs with the freight-style coil springs, so the gonds will be as accurate as I can get. :) So, I'll have two Bettendorf bogeys...one with leaf springs for the coaches, and the other with coil springs. Sounds fun!

I'm assuming you don't have a release time on that yet do you?????

Haha, but you're hoping otherwise! True, true...I am getting it in Trainz right now. I just looked at it...there's a couple minor texturing errors...I've experienced them before, and I'll get that worked out within the next fifteen minutes. I'm contemplating trying to put a LOD mesh on it, because the poly count is at 4,500...I'll experiment with that now. I'm hoping it'll be out and roaming the narrow gauge rails on dozens of computers by this weekend to early next week.

Should be done and up late today-tomorrow...my beta testers have requested a shadow mesh and an interior, so I'll be a workin' on that today!

On the route? I haven't done much. Mostly working on the coaches.

I started a new thread when I released the rider gonds July 25. You can see it here.

Haha, yeah...I've also been burnt out on Trainz for a while...I've been getting back into it lately, though. I haven't written this project off, I'm just going to have to pace myself better. :)

Thanks for the reply. I understand I get burnt out too some times but the trainz bug keeps on bitting. Ive been working on the C&TS my self I got all the track layed and the Chama & Antonito yards down but I don't know any thing about modeling so no buildings on it except whats been modeled already.

Well, believe it or not, this project is NOT dead! I've gotten back in and working on it quite a bit in the past couple weeks. I've gotten coaches 510-516 almost complete, and added much scenery to the route. I've also finally laid solid track from Chama to Antonito, with all sidings in place with exception to the yards at Chama and Antonito. Here are a few screenshots up to date.

Here is my Google Picasa album. There are 60 screenshots in it along various points on the route.

And now for a few shots of my coaches!

Thank you both for the comments. =] I am currently laying trees around the crossing of the Rio Chama just outside the yard. I'll have screenshots later today. =D Currently trying to find a scrub oak for the route...fun, fun, fun! =D

I probably will eventually accept your services. =) Still have a few minor tweaks on the coaches...stuff folks probably wouldn't care or notice, but it jumps out on me. Haha!
