Download Station - Content Upload Failed

12-Nov-2013

Dear dragonharh,

The addition of your content file DPMP_TR12_SP1_V8.5__Beta_.cdp has failed due to the following reasons:

<kuid2:375451:100378:4> : Asset <kuid2:375451:100378:4> is a multiplayer session but has dependencies that are not builtin and not available on the Download Station (<kuid:156765:1610>, <kuid:156765:1611>)

If you require further assistance please contact our Helpdesk (http://www.auran.com/helpdesk).

Regards,
The Trainz Team

One small suggestion here. When searching for KUID numbers, use the Asset KUID option (via the + button) rather than entering it into the larger text box. That may help us work out whether you actually have the KUID present.

OK - I've another thought here, and apologies for this being a question. After removing the KUIDs in question, did you use Delete Missing Assets in Surveyor?

I have thot of that too pryer to the upload I installed the route with session into an 2nd trainz I use as a beta tester as you may call it and looked nothing came up the assist in question are not apart of the session in anyway or even used with in the map its self.
There are no unknown kulds in the assist session after being installed in the 2nd TR12.

OK - another thought (and apologies for the questions). Have any of the assets with missing dependencies (as there are 7 showing there as missing dependencies) got either of those 2 KUIDs mentioned (it may sound a bit weird, but even sub-dependencies can cause that issue)?

Shane

No because the missing 7 kulds are shown in download helper with assist they need to downloaded as shown in the screen shot. The 2 assist are not a pice of rolling stock or locomotive assist there are an building object form a JR route.

Ah OK. You may need to check with Helpdesk on that one to verify. If you want me to though, I can privately arrange to have a look at the .cdp (which I can email you my email address for if needed) and see if I can find out why it's being rejected. (Don't worry, I will not be using it for any other purpose, as I'm a strong supporter when it comes to content creators rights).

Shane

An update. I've had a look at the .cdp mentioned by dragonharh on an installation with only UK non-DLS content (with dragonharh's permission), and it's not reporting any missing dependencies.

My self, shaneturner12 & JCitron confirm there a problem with the DLS upload.

Ok.
I downloaded and installed. I show no missing dependencies, and those assets do not show up in the list.
Have Shane do the same thing and see if he has different results.
There maybe something wrong with the DLS. Zec had to fix this for others awhile back.

I've now finished downloading the files, and there are no missing dependencies.
This would tell me that the upload system is giving an incorrect report, so you will need to let N3V know of this error. In the meantime, try re-uploading the file.
Shane

I sent a ticket in to the help desk although I'm not going to count my chickens at this point CS has along way to go before they gene my faith in them. thanks to both john and shane on helping me out.

I re uploaded the Assist: DPMP TR12 SP1 V8.5 ( Beta ) to DLS agen and there is no reason it shod fail.

If that asset is the session, yes, it will fail.

It is the map ("Dragons Pass Muiltyplayer V8.1",<kuid2:375451:100008:3>) that depends on those two KUIDs.

To work in multiplayer, all dependencies of the session (including the map and all it's dependencies) need to be 'authentic versions' - either on the DLS, built-in, or from the N3V DLC system. If any asset in the entire dependency graph doesn't match this, then a multiplayer session cannot be uploaded.

You will need to remove these two assets from the route, and upload a new "Dragons Pass Multiplayer V8.x" map (on e.g. <kuid2:375451:100008:4>) which doesn't depend on the non-DLS KUIDs in order for multiplayer session uploads for that route to be accepted.

I was about to make a comment on the "kids" post (which I agree with) but after typing it the result was almost as bad a the original target. I blame too much coffee.
