All Trainz Content that has ever released has the right to remain publicly available who's with me?

Ironic, since several copies of other Surfliner routes are uploaded to the DLS, but that is common practice for mobile users. No policing on that end I guess, or maybe that is allowed for mobile.
It is my understanding that since iOS devices would not allow local storage of user created files that the choice was made to have the Apple version of the mobile product use the DLS for storage of users' files. Hence, their save function goes to the DLS. Apple prefers that third party apps use iCloud for storage but that costs the user money once they fill the limited amount of space in the cloud available to them for free.

OK. But pertinent to the discussion, doesn't that expose these routes and all the assets they include to copyright violation? Or does that app only come with a set list of routes and assets that everyone with the app has anyway? Does N3V cover any possible copyright violations to creators?

You're being logical again but can the iOS version add content from anywhere but the DLS?

but overall! I do agree with the statement "Once it's been released, it should therefore remain to be released".
A fair point. I often see posts along the lines of "Does anyone have a copy the XXXXX asset by YYYYY?" usually because it was once available somewhere (but not on the DLS) but is not available anywhere any more. This is basically supporting a "black market" in assets which cannot be healthy.

To me that is one of the main advantages of the DLS. Assets uploaded to the DLS are only removed if a copyright violation is confirmed by the original creator or they are being repaired by the CRG (but are still available if you know how to search for them). Too many 3rd party web sites containing assets have vanished overnight taking their assets with them. On the odd occasion the creator of the site and assets has uploaded them to the DLS before pulling the plug, a move that I very much applaud.

I can agree with this post, only if it's freeware, however. As much as I'd love to have the old Phil C content public and available, it was payware and I don't find it right to have it up for free. But the other stuff like Sporbust and the lost content from USTrainz (or any dead site, rather) would be terrific to have still available.

If you believe that all assets should be public domain then why have you not uploaded any of your work to the DLS where they will be more readily available to the Trainz public instead of having to search for web sites that may not be in existence for very long?
Because this person has absolutely 0 skills. Instead he just reuploads things claiming he has the moral obligation to upload them. The only moral obligation he has is just straight up hands down ignoring consequences because he has autism. I've looked at his X profile and all he does is whine, whine, whine, whine, whine.
