Content Manager Issues

Hello Everyone.

Sean Frawley here from the DisneyTrainz Organization with a question. I've taken a break from Trainz for about six months while working with Mojang Enterprises and becoming a developer for a game called Minecraft and CMP seems to be giving me some trouble about starting up. I am not able to access CMP what so ever.

When I open CMP I get these popups:
"Checking to see if your username AND password are correct."
"Rebuilding the Trainz Asset Database."
And after the rebuilding popup, CMP stops responding. After I saw this, I tried doing this again. Same thing. So I closed out CMP and reopened it, then left it open overnight. In the morning, CMP was still showing the username and password box and was not responding. I have my Trainz and Computer details below.

Trainz:
Trainz Version: TRS 2006
Trainz Build: 2.5

Computer:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Service Pack: SP1
RAM: 6 GB
Company: ASUSTek

If anyone knows how to resolve this, please let me know as soon as possible.

If you are quick enough, press Esc whilst the screens are up.

P.S. Based on the Trainz build value, also check if SP1 is available for your TRS2006 using the in-game build number. Bear in mind that you will need to reinstall then install the service pack without running Trainz or Content Manager first.

Hi Sean,

It appears your database is definitely corrupt. Now, based on your station/registration bar, you are running TRS2006.

The way to rebuild the database in TRS2006-only is to delete the assets.tdx file.
Close Content Manager Plus (CMP).
Go to the folder where you installed TRS2006.
Now it's been a while since I've run TRS2006, but I think the file is in a Local folder in there.
Delete the Assets.tdx file.

Reboot your computer.
Restart CMP and let it run until it completes the rebuilding process. This can take some time, so plan on doing something else. I usually do stuff like this while away from the computer so I'm not tempted to touch anything while the database is being rebuilt.
When this completes, you should be all set to go.

Thanks. I'll try it.

Note: My Trainz will run very slowly for about 1/2 hour after I boot up the game, then it will run really fast. Any way to make the game run fast at all times?
