Clear Lake Logging Classic Primer

Part of the impetus for doing logging routes is to preserve that heritage that is rapidly becoming lost history. Glad to be a reference point.

The Clear Lake route is the first route I DLed a few weeks ago when I installed TRS2006 and found it to be my favorite so far. Looking forward to any updates to it.

Fantastic piece of work, here!!!:Y:

Love that new Shay, can't wait for this one to get release, okay, I guess I'll have to wait, but I'll hold my breath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New shays are nice Rich. I seem to recall a test model a few years back that looked a lot like McKelvey Bros No 2 - a Class B 36-2 ng3. Still in the shops some place?

Clear Lake is looking very good. Love the logo.

Bob, Class B shay is functional but not completed. I still have the interior to do and final details. Been on the back burner for a couple years now. Once C/L is done I can get back into loco building.

Here is a visual reminder of the model. It will be the basis for several versions.

Gas Car very much based on the West Side Lumber Co. gas car. I still use link and pin couplers though. Oh by the way, you can download this NOW off my website.

Every time I get a new issue of Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette I add something else to the project list. It's all good...

It's starting to get interesting now.

Lol - I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets half a dozen ideas from each issue :)
Looks great - thanks for the additional screenshots!!

I have been working on some structures and some other stuff. (see "idler car" thread) Screens update when I complete another section.

It takes quite a bit of time to make everything for a route yourself. I only use a limited amount of built-in items such as trees and ground cover. Everything else you've seen here other than the occasional 'bdaneal' loco are models created by myself.

I'm sorry to sound confused....but I downloaded and installed Clear Lake Logging V2, but I don't have the incline, or the maintenance shed, balloon track, etc..............am I missing something? Thanks......dbgallant77

The shots in this thread are from 'V3' of the layout :)

Nice work slugsmasher. Been having fun driving your new stock around the RBR Dual layout :D

Thanks S301 for the clarification on V3. I'll be patient and wait for that one to come out!

One thing I need help on though with V2, is the scenario I downloaded for V2....86661:9450387......it does not show up when I start Trainz, either in Driver or Surveyor. There were quite a few missing assets (18 or so) that started with 44700....could that be the reason for the scenario not showing up?
