I've been practicing route detailing on a new module, 'Cobalt' and adding some some these details to Wah Wah - Murenbindi.

In rural areas and single lines most signals are either two or three aspect single light signals. Double light signals are used mostly in the metropolitan areas.

Thanks for the tip. This is actually supposed to be a metropolitan line; being a fictional route based on a TransDEM generated map of the Richmond line. I'm still deciding whether or not the line should be double track.

If you think it would help appearances, I will change the double aspect signals to single aspect signals, in the interim.

You could save yourself some work and remove the signals altogether. Single line sections only have signals at the start and end of each single line section because you can only have one train in the section at a time. It helps to avoid accidents that way.

I was always under the belief that one could have intermediate points along the line with controlled signals to allow following movements. I've been wrong before though!
