Australian screenshots

Not that I spend a lot of time on routes, I'm usually painting, meshing or scripting, so AI gets the road on my routes. I don't usually use "drive to" but "autopilot to" (or something like that) seems to behave differently and gets us where we're going via trackmarks etc.

Talking about scripting :hehe:
If we have an expert listening... Is their a way of scripting a Passenger train to stop all stations?
It would be fun to "Auto pilot all stations to....."
It would need to know it was an up train stopping Plat 1 or a down train stopping platform 2 or a single line always stopping Platform 1...
But it must be too difficult to script, because, surely I am not the only one who wished for this

edit or maybe I missed it?

Probably not Rod, as if there are multiple lines, or interactive industries etc. There would be a problem

Jamie

not sure you are right Jamie.
That is if there is differentiation between industry and platforms?
Take the Wadalbavale line
Dock up into Karrah Bay
Auto Pilot all stations (Platforms) to Wadalbavale
Shunt to RM siding
Seems simple instructions and the rule has to find that Karrah Bay,Mrnong,Halley River, Lambley Vale are between the two stations and Platform 1 is the only alternative at each :(

could you not do it with triggers?

Yes you could!
However on many maps their are insufficient to do the job, built in.
Plus it can take hours to set AI trains up to do stuff to make your little Railway look busy.
And when you save your session it saves the map in your name so you cant really share it.
Seeing MP does not appear to be taking much interest I am back to eh well you know what I mean ;) Don't have to spell it out, do I?
So I thought the next best thing is to have easy quick AI rules so that I can just run run trains in between the AI

I better take a screenshot, before the postbot catches me :(

Pikkabirds SX car set

G'day all,

I installed Pikkabirds SX car set and installed it into TS12, and i got a few errors which have not allowed the car set to "work". it says that the trainz build number is not supported. is there any way I can get the cars to work? If not it was a waste of downloads.

Can anyone help?

AJC.

These are the missing and faulty dependecies. I loaded the SX cars into TS2010 and it worked fine. No problems. But 12 seems to have an issue committing the assets.

Faulty: 1460 coupler
Faulty: 2axle wagon
Not faulty: 36 icon
Not faulty: bluestar icon
Not faulty: lamp red
Not faulty: Passengers

I cannot work out why it works in TS2010 but not 12...

Gee Rod, if you were referring to me as a "scripting expert" I doubt that I'd measure up.

I seem to remember there was a rule to do that sort of thing or schedule library or something like that.
I'm thinking it would be a nightmare to script.....oh no not me ahuh.

Warning: An asset must be specified for tag 'texture-kuid'.

the dependent asset is: Faulty depenencies: QR SXV Car KUID2:2512:16003:1

the other is: Faulty dependencies: QR SX Car KUID2:2512:16000:1

those are the two faulties.

Sorry for all the trouble, I just got TS12 and still figuring it out...:o

Hi AJC,

They look like warnings to me, they should still work, errors are flagged with a Red Exclamation Mark.

People who play trainz shouldn't worry about warnings though, there for content creators so they know what there asset is missing before they upload it, the warning "thumbnail is missing" that is for people uploading to dls so the preview image is shown.

The warning "build numbers below 2.7 is no longer supported" that lets people know they can't upload there content below 2.7.

Anyways, here's something I've been building

wagon-2.jpg

Victorian Railways 1875 I wagon, Wooden frames with Iron bracing, no air-brake and only handbrake, Licensed to carry 4ton 14cwt.

I'm awful when using the lathe for buffers :(

Edit: Updated Image :)

Apologies to folks who follow the USA screenies thread for a a blatant double post, but I thought it worth bringing a new model to this thread's attention...

pauls3.jpg

It's a new model by Deane (Dinorius_Redindicus) based on my photos of a disused service station quietly decaying away at Neerim South, Vic. The town is on the long-closed VR Noojee Branch from Warragul. No - I'm not building the branch (yet!), the model is posed on a dummied up area of another route.

Thanks to Deane for the model - truly superb! It should be on the DLS 'soon' - it's been stuck in the processing dept for a couple of days...

Andy ;)

I just checked out Andy's routes too Some extraordinary stuff there, particularly the 2 foot 6 route of Russian heritage :udrool:
Cheers
Rod

It is very good, but it uses Pofig's trees Rod, the ones you're struggling to get for my route:hehe:

Some good stuff here lately
Cheers
