Australian screenshots

you mean you cant see the content release forum at all? If that is the case, then you need to contact Zec, there is something wrong with your access rights.

Anyway speaking of which, there is a 5 to NSW gantry crane over at victrainz, couldnt find the cdp for it when queried by another member so I made one and put it over there. Not sure if it was previously released, I usually keep all my cdp's

It is one of the large double A frame type cranes with the travelling jib in between the frames(this on is static)

misterchugg which models were you after?

cheers

Michael, I am sorry to hear that you have lost someone close to you :( You have my condolences. I hope you are feeling better soon. Your B13 is looking pretty good so far. Just be careful to try and keep the poly count down as you go along. I didn't and my platform end car tips in at a monstrous 9884 polygons  And I've still got some way to go yet. God only knows what the ornate beading and individual windows sills will bring it to. Guess it's time to get the razor out and start shaving. With regards to the AL, BL and CL cars, I have yet to get around to them. I'm using my NSWGR suburban cars as a learning base before attempting the QR ones. As for the QR Brisbane-Wallangarra mail cars, they look like one could easily use bits from the other platform end cars.

Forest
, I'm quite game to make it a joint effort. I don't think you'll slow down the project at all. I'm just kind of dawdling along making bits as I go along. I am presently a bit stuck on Campbelltown yard, as I don't have a plan dating to the 1950s. My real world hobbies take up much of my potential sim time, which will probably go to my new apprenticeship instead.

Pete, Thank you heaps for all the content you have released over the past month or so.

Now for an update on projects:
Letterboards have been added to the first of my end platform cars. The next step is to make some doors and the individual window sills.

Also, I will reveal a side project of mine, a BKX/MBY car carrier. The MBY will be just the finishing piece to go with Pete's Southern Aurora cars and Natvander's RUB cars. It still needs codeboards, handrails and many other small details.

Happy new year to all.

Pete, really, take a break mate. You've done enough content creating the last year, with some absolutely smashing releases; particularly your Christmas content clear-out.:D:D

Sit back, relax, have a beer and let someone else have a go at content creation for once.

Forest, cracking shots as always, and a great way to end the decade with the master of Trainz photography. Thank you for sharing your screenshots with us in 2010; and may 2011 bring more, and better, shots from your good self.:Y:

To the rest of the regular contributors to this thread, keep up the great work, and let's keep those awesome screenshots flowing nicely.

I look forward to all your updates on various projects throughout the year.

Cheers, and all the the best for 2011,

Matt.

Evan,

Have you tried contacting DeRiCo for yard diagrams. I have his Excel file of diagrams and there is a very old one for Camden (1918) and some for Campbelltown -1918, 1919, 1935, 1951 , 1968, 1969 and 1987.

I am sure he will help out were he can.

all that ornate stuff above the windows, have you deleted all the hidden faces? also window frames where closed delete all the hidden faces on the sides and where partially open do the same except for the exposed sides. You probably already have done it:hehe:

Firstly Evan... damn fine looking content there!!

Drop me a PM with your e-mail addy and we can have a quick chat - prelims like what version/patch you're running and so forth.

I can also send you a Campbelltown 1951 track diagram. I also have Narellan and Camden if you want those as well.

With this, I'm also more than happy to play second fiddle to the project you started. Be great if we can get this into Trainz. I like branch lines and small trains at slower speeds. This sim is well suited to that style of operation too. The idea of slogging up the 1 in 19 of Kenny Hill is also one to savour. Hell, let's do it!!

@Mulie,Matt... thanks for the wrap. Beautiful route, Mulie. Captures rural Australiana perfectly. This little gem is perfect for screenshot advertising of content!! - and great way to finish 2010 screenshots wise.

Pete, I'm working on that just now. Hopefully I'll be able to shave it down to about 3000 max.

Nice work everyone! Some fantastic rolling stock being produced.

Pete: Lovely.

Michael: Sorry to hear your bad news. Take care of yourself. The B13 is wonderful, too.

Everyone else? Wonderful screenshots. :D

Sorry to post again so soon, but I figured I haven't posted shots in a while, so here's some new ones.

EDIT: Forgot something. Tallmiketc; If it's not too much trouble, could you post a few shots of your urban areas around stations? I have a small suburban electrified route on the go myself, and i could use a few pointers in that area.

Don't worry if you don't wish too. I understand, and look forward to seeing whatever shots you do post.

Cheers,

Matt.

Hi Mattm, just a few that might help.

thanks to flickr

who made the suburban sets?

speaking of diesel refuels, some time ago I modelled the Grafton refuel centre, (3 refuel points). Is it possible to script this so it actively refuels locos? and is there anyone here who knows how to do it? if so I am happy to send the mesh of the static model to them for upgrading and for them to release it under their kuid

cheers

Hi flewy69er,

Those points are one of AJS's animated points where I added some of the australian track textures.

I was never able to create a seamless match to the normal tracks and therefore wasn't happy with the look.

I'm in the process of replacing the animated points with the usual points to make things simpler. The points you noticed have now been replaced.

NSW Routes - Campbelltown/Camden line

Just as a note for this interested in this area of NSW. I'll probably get back into finishing the Picton to Moss Vale section of the main south line after Ive reached the Qld border in my current North Coast Line project.
OR
should I work south from Casino towards Grafton & Coffs ???
