Australian screenshots

A variation on a theme, one for the south australian and west australian crews This is a variation on the original P6 class of NSW.

<< Image clipped >>.

This is the Commonwealth Railways version of that class. It is the G class, note the cowcatcher and extra reservoir tank on the running board. It also has a high sided tender, large headlight and auto couplers. There are brass "C of A" letters on the cab and tender sides. The loco has superscript numbers and the tender can have matching numbers entered manually. The class has 26 members. Apparently these things did run across the Nullabor.

Anyway, I will bundle it up later this afternoon and announce when it is ready to be downloaded.

YESSS!!! (fist punching the air!).

Nice to have another one for the SA oriented Trainzers here. Much appeciated, Pete.

OK, Col sorry you feel down about it all, but you can still go over to Victrainz, there is a lot of content there to pick up and as a creator they would welcome you I'm sure.

The G class is available over at victrainz in content release announcements.A caveat on this loco is that there were only a few grainy pictures in the 32 class book so that is what I had as a guide as well as a pic from the preserved steam locos site. I think I have captured it all, but no doubt something will be missing.

Had a bit of a mess around with Fireworks and gMax because I can't be bothered opening TRS2006 anymore (for now, it's too slow) and came up with this:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

It's a very simple model but it actually took me quite a while to actually get that box there because of gMax stuffing up. I can't even right click on the views to set them as wireframe, change objects to editable meshes etc. Pretty annoying.

The texture took a bit of time as well. If anyone wants, I could do specials for certain lines/stations.

I'm gonna have a try and do the older style LCD screen ones (had a texture I made from before) as well which are at Central and around the City Circle.

From Days Gone By...

Hello Everyone,

@Pete if you have the time, could you help out with my Q.G.R B13 Kiston? Just PM or Email Me. I would love to have your expertise in making locomotives.
@Col you have a right to feel annoyed, Auran have screwed up and some person needs to tell them :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it time to turn back the clock to the 19th Century in the form of a 1885 Vintage Q.G.R B13 Kiston. I know you will love it {Mitchy too :udrool: } as much as I do, since it is my first real locomotive for trainz. Here is my W.I.P;

Evening all;

Pete, you are a machine! Really, do you ever stop? You've managed to make every bodies dreams come true with your releases the last few days.

Deadly, if you are up for it, a couple versions for a few Northern and Central Coast line stations would be lovely. Entirely up to you though.

Cheers,

Matt.

Couldn't agree more with this. Take a break, Pete. Would be well deserved and I don't believe a single soul would begrudge it.

Random shot before retiring for the night... late afternoon service, with no goods loading ;)

Scripting Challenge !!!

Wouldnt it be wonderful if someone with the skills could write some code to update those station signs automatically based on what was actually happening on the tracks. check the next train due to stop/pass the sign and where it is to go to next based on the AI schedule.

I thought that superscript already did that with destination signs, it wouldnt be to much of a stretch to ask that author if he could dream up something along the lines of a skin or texture change

says he who knows nothing about coding

A somber occasion on NYE

Well today is a very unfortunate day in my life; I have lost a relative just before the New Year. His last request before he went to a better world was; "treat other with care & respect. If you stuff up admit it and you will be a better person." I think I am going to cry..:'(

Anyway enough of that: I am going to be away for a short while, and I will honour my late uncles New Year's wish to come back a better person. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for having me & I would also like to deeply apologies to a few fellow trainzer's Bill, Peter, Patchy, Forrest, Ghosty, Dreddman & everyone else for all the hurt and sorrow I put you gentlemen through, that was wrong of me to do that. I hope after today; we will all just go back to being the best of mates. Now I would like to say from my heart:

"I AM SORRY"

Now to end with my last screenshot for 2010, see you very soon...I hope?

Was hoping to post a nice set prior to year end.

It's New Years Eve 1961... some extra tonnage on today's run means additional motive power (3052+3105)...

Coming to you for 2011;

QR Sunlander and Westlander in Maroon and Blue

Wishing you all a prosperous New year.

Cheers

This afternoon ZR ran the final train on the ZR branchline for 2010. The train was run as a mixed, so as to take locals (who didn't catch an earlier pass) to the New Years eve celebrations at the terminus.

Due to the F class and 'AB' car being required for the service, two new 'dual coupled' WT wagons were required, since the majority of ZR stock is auto-coupled.

Here we see the train passing the very overgrown ZR ballast siding.

Hope you all have a happy new year!

Zec
