Australian screenshots

not that particular one, however I have made 6 wheeler tenders in the past that can.

No worries - can wait until you get around to updating the 30t (or have you already done that - has been a while since I played with Trainz!) - actually you should have virtually all the common 30T tenders (baldwin / 50class and 6 wheel ex P class) ex stock, about the only omission is the rebuilt ex Z16 tenders as fitted to 3026 so other than any scripting updates you're half way there

Ok. Sorry about that. I thought I had already registered. Yes I am a Noob.

Thanks guys, and thanks Pete for the content.

Nice to see you loitering in these parts, Axe-man

Some more C32's and end platform cars. 3267 is on the passenger service and 3324 shunts S (x2) and LV trucks in the yard. What stunning locomotives... both real world and Pete's models.

Also... I've been replacing point frogs... these ones look more the part compared to the ones I had on there previously.

Wanted to try and get the CCA in a prototypical(ish) working. My books/publications led me to this delightful little consist featuring a milk van and tanker... something a bit different anyway.

Good Evening All

Been playing with a new script setup for VR stuff (hope to release a series of 'base' scripts for creators to use, will make things like marker lights and auto-numbers much easier I hope!).

Anyways, got 1 wagon running nicely now, so thought I'd throw some screenies up :)

thanks Zec, those white disks, didnt you do one that changes with direction of the consist and that you can attach to a consist?

@ forrest runner, all you need is a 20 class and you would have the camden tramway consist, you make nice layouts

is this what you were after? or did you want an earlier version with water tanks? The colours are a bit less faded than reality. let me know what you are after. The platform length is as stated @ railnet

Funny you say that. The inspiration of the consist was actually 3043 (bunker first and all) with a white van, milk tanker and CCA rolling into/through the old timber platform at Elderslie.

Most of my shots/photos I have of Camden line workings are of C30s - some of them doubleheading a single van and CCA, even though I know Z20s ran the line as well. Maybe C30s in the later years as they were displaced from Sydney suburban working??

Maybe Campbelltown-Camden in Trainz?? I think I've enough material, along with some artistic licence to maybe give it a shot.

I did one with the Superscript, however it's fairly limited. This version allows any item to have a taildisc, be it a 'fixed' one (which I did with the superscript, they just fold up when not required), or a 'temporary' one (generally hung off a handrail or similar, or the knuckle coupler) that will 'appear' as required.

Unfortunately, for pre TS2009, the mesh needed to be in the asset to work. The way I'm 'designing' (ok, kitbashing) this script is to allow Mesh-Libraries to be used (they're relatively easy to setup, will outline it in the 'how-to' section). This works for lamps (slowly expanding these!), couplers, hoses (yep, they're separate now), tail-discs. If I can work it out, possibly even crew! Not sure how I'll do wipers yet, not focusing on diseasles at the moment.

All very exiting, even for me... Lots of stuff to still setup, but if I can get the auto-numbering done, then we'll have the 'rolling stock' version finished...

Thankfully, only one attachment point is required for the hoses/coupler setup.

Seasons Greetings Zec, & great work!.:)

In the new year I'd really appreciate a hand getting TS2010 installed on my 'new' PC.
The PC I've had for a few months now & have tried all sorts of things to install 2010 & TRS2004, but am having major problems.

The silly thing is, it's the same board OS & graphics card genre as Craig's (Seeseeme). He has had no problems, yet I'm having heaps.

Because of the above, I've been fairly quiet the past few months (well you get that when you don't have Trainz up & running:'().
But I want to thank everybody for the amazing artistic work going on all over the place, & wish everyone all the best in the coming 2011

An Artical in The Courier-Mail

Well Lenice I know I did not respond to that question but here is my answer, I just put it up for a bit of fun, and I am a massive fan of the series; I know I am commiting the biggest crime: historical inacuracy.:p I hope you enjoy my route, and a Beta will be handed out possibly next month. So any takers?

@Pete; Very Very Impressed & awesome job mate! :udrool: ; could you please help me out with my QR B13 if you have some time to spare?

@Noel.B, Hey mate, nice to see you back.

@Forrest; Just Marvelous  . The NSWGR C30's were indeed displaced after the electrication scheme, and were used on short outer-suburban or even on branchlines around Sydney & Newcastle. As the question goes; in latter years The NSWGR C30 Tanks worked the Camden line to replace some of the aging vintage Z20 Tanks which were allocated to Cambelltown depot. I hope that fills the gaps.

P.S Tonight I will show off my 1885 QR B13 Kiston which I have been making in Gmax.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I would think the semaphore signalling puts that route waaaaaaaayyy before Ghostbusters (1980's). Besides the fact that Southport line has been closed and ripped up for decades.
Just an observation

Campbelltown-Camden

G'day Michael, I've just recieved your SC prison van file. The prisoners certainly would have had a much more comfortable trip than in our BKD prison vans :hehe: I haven't yet started on the QGR platform end cars. I've been taking time finishing off the NSWGR cars, so I have a better idea of what I'm doing when I build the QGR versions.:hehe:

I look forward to seeing the screenshots of your B13. I'll gladly help you with beta testing when you get it in game.

Regarding the 30 class tanks, you are correct about where they were displaced to, but they appear to have actually worked side by side with the 20 class on most of the suburban branchlines.

Forest
, regarding the Campbelltown-Camden line for Trainz, I am presently working on it using a DEM, graciously provided by patchy. I would be more than happy to make it a joint effort if you wish to participate in the making of the route.

Also, an update on my platform end car project:

The roof is now completed, excepting the roof vents and work on the underframe should be underway shortly. I intend to cover the BB, FA, HBB and HFA codes in the following variations:

- As delivered in the 1890s with ornate timber beading, Anderson ventilators, discontinous window sills and gas lighting in NSWGR Purple Brown.

- As in service prior to rebuilding fitted with electric lighting in pre-war Tuscan & Russet.

-As rebuilt with matchboard panelling, roof mounted ventilators and continuous window sill with two styles of letterboard in post-war Tuscan & Russet.

- As rebuilt with plywood sheathing circa 1960s with two different styles of beading and two letterboard styles in Indian Red.

I also intend to have automatic running numbers, so could anyone please help me out by providing the numbers of the 1890 cars? PM me if you can help.

31 Up Sydney Mail

Hello' Evan

With that screenshot, it looks very simular to the Q.G.R End-Platform Sydney Mail carriages [Which I need for my QGR Main Southern Railway; Warwick-Wallangarra] All you have to do is add the gates, and get ridd of those side windows and it could look something like this;

P.S ;Sorry about the inpactical information, I am not a expert on NSWGR.

A variation on a theme, one for the south australian and west australian crews This is a variation on the original P6 class of NSW.

Gscreenshot.jpg

This is the Commonwealth Railways version of that class. It is the G class, note the cowcatcher and extra reservoir tank on the running board. It also has a high sided tender, large headlight and auto couplers. There are brass "C of A" letters on the cab and tender sides. The loco has superscript numbers and the tender can have matching numbers entered manually. The class has 26 members. Apparently these things did run across the Nullabor.

Anyway, I will bundle it up later this afternoon and announce when it is ready to be downloaded.

Was just guessing. Most of my Z20 shots of Camden workings are either 2016 or 2029... I guess it's why the RTM claimed 2029 as well. You realise now, I'm going to dig up Pete's old Z20 and see if I can get it working in TS2010. Like a kid with a new since getting the sim back online after the issues I experienced.

Forest, regarding the Campbelltown-Camden line for Trainz, I am presently working on it using a DEM, graciously provided by patchy. I would be more than happy to make it a joint effort if you wish to participate in the making of the route.

Firstly, this is great news somebody is working on it. I'm game if you are, champ. The only issue is I hope I don't slow you down!! I don't get as much sim time (ok, Xmas time excepted) as I'd like due to real world stuff.

A wonderful look for Pete's P Class I reckon ;)

Finally, so we don't degenerate into a chatfest... random screenie...

Hi folks, letting you all know I'm still alive. Haven't done much Trainz for a while, I do think it's lost a lot since TRS2006 but that is just my opinion. That was back when things worked and we didn't have to worry about CMP.

Also you could upload anything to the DLS without a hassle, Auran have taken a lot of enjoyment out of releasing content and people being able to freely download it for their own use.

I do miss using Paintshed, I think it had more good then people gave credit for. One of the major things about Trainz that I can no longer utilise. I also do miss route building, but a lot of the fun of downloading content to use in a route has taken a huge blow in the wake Auran's recent decision to force people to buy First Class tickets.

I do realise that Auran need to progress and continue to produce a product but they have made a lot of mistakes along the way. 09 was the beginning of the end for me as far as Trainz is concerned.

It's a shame that Trainz is no longer the fun it used to be, and with all the great Aussie content being released of late it is a shame that my CMP rarely stays connected long enough for me to download it.

The only way I can see me coming back to Trainz is if Auran see the errors of their ways and return Trainz to how it ran as it did with TRS 2006.

Bring back paintshed, stop forcing people to buy FC tickets and return Trainz to the enjoyment levels it once was. I am ranting on a bit but I have lost a lot desire that I used to have for Trainz.

I do still come in and browse the forums, I can see the great work the Vulcan has done with his aircraft. I am awe struck by what DavidO, ad602000 and others have produced. I know I'm missing out on great content but Auran need to fix a lot of things as Trainz is losing a lot of its appeal.

Bring back TRS2006 I say.
