Australian screenshots

And it does look great Dave!:D You too Michael. That route looks very noice:p

Here's some Non-Train-Images... The fabled "NTI" haha:hehe:

*Images snipped regretfully*

Daniel:)

Mate, even without the trains those shots, and that route, look absolutely spectacular. How many K's of trackage do you have down at the moment? I don't believe i've seen that mentioned before.

Matt.

Nice shots everybody... some nice atmosphere about this thread at the moment.

Some from me having a toy with some of Mulie's Modular Masterpieces (Triple M!)...A NSW SRA "branch line wheatie" in the late 1980's.

Thanks again Mulie.

Once again, I'm awe-inspired by the quality of work being displayed of late, truly inspirational and some quality work - especially those of 3830 (truly works of art, to inspire and fire the imagination - fantastic attention to detail!), Davido (what can be said - quality attention to detail AND outstanding content creation ability as well!), Flewy69er (love that look, just suitably rusty/weedy enough to make me think, well, just HOW infrequent does this place see traffic?), Patchy (I'd check the oil she's burning patchy, looks like a bad load!) and others!. Forestrunner, of course, should stop playing with my modular routes and work on his own *chuckles* Big thanks to Forestrunner for the support and banners - I hope you all enjoy the modules, as much as I enjoy making them.

Nice screenies Forest Runner I never liked the Bicentennial but it looks alright there :D

David

Is that why the 422 model you made never made it into the bi-centennial livery, haha? I'm picturing you sitting there with a list of liveries written down: Original, Freightcorp, ARG, Candy, Reverse. Someone looks over your shoulder and says "oh, what about bicentennial?". You block your ears and start saying "lalala, can't hear you!" until they dissapear?

I'm pleased to see your NR Class models still rate a run on your layout - the NR and 82 class were among the first CWS models I ever ran, and I remember being gobsmacked by the quality of them.

erm, although, ahh, you see, NR109 is a Ghan unit....

WOAH is the 48 on the DLS :udrool:

Since 2006 Bearcat :D

LOL That's about it Trent  I'm not listening........

They where amongst my early stuff and made entirely from scaling photographs... I don't think the NR looks quite right somehow, but close enough :o

Auto numbering :(

@Muliebuck......
I've always been good at smoke and mirrors and sea sickness prevents me from getting serious with route building.

Cheers

What about the Silverton livery on your 48 class? Hey, wait! Come back, I was kidding! Although, while I have your ear, how about a PPL-red 45 class, haha!

I think they look fine - the only issue I can see with them (and I don't recall seeing it before, so it might be a 2010 issue rather than a model issue) is that when one looks at the locos from afar, the number boards don't display correctly.

Auto numbering :(

Better than the great set of screenshots I set up and took with 42222 in them! I think they crossed 8186 at some stage too :)[/quote]

Trainz89,

Is your PM disabled or somethin?

I Can't PM you...

Anyway, here's more shots from my modular route; NSW Leycester. I am now happy with how this route looks, and am considering it uploading to the DLS.

Enjoy these.

Edit: Just uploaded this to the DLS. If you do DL this, please let me know what you think.

Matt.
Well, I reviewed the route as you requested, its not bad at all, credit where credit is due, just some observations, if I may :)

1) Straighten the track at LC L1 Junction

2) Straighten the track at LC L3 junction (move the spline back further, to give a nice, smooth turnout for the grain siding/goods loop)

3) Rotate the bus depot building 180 degrees, so the front door faces the road.

I've got some screenshots for the 'straighten track' area for you :)

Other than that (and that erba secca and the other one), still flag with .127 errors, so will give users grief, I like it - well done :)

More shots from the same kinda area as before.

sl-2010-06-27-%5B1%5D.jpg

Looking east from north east of Glenfield junction.

sl-2010-06-27-%5B2%5D.jpg

The bridge over the Georges River. Why do my rivers always turn out ugly? :'(

sl-2010-06-27-%5B3%5D.jpg

Under Moorebank Avenue. I put a more appropriate train on the tracks this time.

sl-2010-06-27-%5B4%5D.jpg

Looking towards Holsworthy from where all the housing starts.

sl-2010-06-27-%5B5%5D.jpg

A little further east of the previous shot. On the northern side of the tracks we have typical suburbia, on the souther side we have Commonwealth land. Holsworthy railway station is less than a km east of here.

Going back a few pages (I'm amazed at how quickly this thread moves!) someone tells me that I should link up Mulliebucks routes. Well. If you want me to do so using an Acer Aspire One with the ability to load about two webpages at once (main PC borked right now), then please, keep telling me to do so.

This isn't Railpage. I offered it as a suggestion that others could consider. I never insisted anything. If I really want something I will do it myself, if I have the tools.

So, expletive here, and have a good day.

When I don't have a a good enough PC to work on (and trust me, I have many thousands of hours of 3dsmax experience) I do a few things behind the scenes. Ever wonder why on odd occasions things turn from payware to freeware? No. Wasn't me. Nothing to do with me. Ever wonder who got DEMs for a certain route? No. Wasn't me. Bloody hell no. Oh. Sarcasm.

It was a suggestion. You know. If it was something you'd enjoy, then it could be done. Not me demanding everyone to do it for ME. Honestly, I don't even drive trains in Trainz. I just use 3dsmax.

Kinda insulted.

My apologies Ed, I never meant to insinuate that you should do it, I merely meant the comment, if someone wished too, then they're more than welcome to do such - these (modules) were designed more to aleiviate the idea of 'how do I start a new route, I got no ideas), or if someone wanted a new addition to an existing route, they'd be more than welcome to use these - modify the, retexture them, I don't care - they're there if people want to use them, and thats all that counts for me - is for people to have fun :)

Muliebuck, thanks mate for the advice. I will straighten those tracks as soon as i get into surveyor. As for the bus depot, i did try several different rotations, and thought that the end rotation looked best, to my eyes. If you want to rotate it, go ahead, be my guest.

Thanks for downloading, and i'm glad that you liked it. Coming from you, that is a compliment of the highest order. Who knows, maybe you'll inspire me to make and upload a few more.:D

Boobless_ed, my apologies for causing offence. I was not demanding anything from you. Rather, my comments were made as an attempt, albeit it a failure, obviously, at humour.;)

Sincerely,

Matt.
