Australian screenshots

Daniel,

The trees are on a list of items to be worked on further, this section still has some work required, the shots are more progress shots for those interested in my work but thanks for the comments much appreciated.

Great screenie David, Is this still the same test track you usually use? I remember you showing a panned out view and its amazing the detail you had in a few boards.

Cheers

Trent.

The screenshots are from around Bald Hills on the run to Petrie, regarding the uploading, the intention is to upload it and the other sections of the Suburban network to the DLS when i feel they are ready for uploadign and after they have been tested by a few selected testers.

cheers

Thanks Trent, it's a new muck-about route. My first real go in TS09.

Cheers

Mullie's modules are really turning into something sweet... It'd be amazing to see a bunch of folk filling in the gaps with a few long and short sections joining them to have one large industry heavy route, great for unlimited funzies with all the possible sessions...

this has 3'6" laid over it, but it would appear that standard gauge would also fit on it, as the pb15 looks like it has SG bogies under it (default auran pb15) A couple of adjustments on the bracing and it's done
cheers

Well, what are you waiting for? Don't just stand there, do something!:p That would be an interesting route to run on, certainly.

Davido, love that last shot mate. It looks very realistic. If you hadn't said it was a muck-about route, i'd think someone was modeling the Central Coast line, and showing progress between Hawkesbury River and Woy Woy.

Nice work from everyone else as well,

Matt.

What people do with the modules I make, is entirely up to them - I just give the minimal basics, and let people either use them, ignore them or modify them to their hearts content. I forget how many times, I'd sat staring at an empty board, wishing for inspiration - when something like this - may well have been available, and would have gone a long way to inspiring me. So, couldn't find anything suitable, I decided to have a go and make some myself, for the enjoyment and hopefully, less frustration for others - so if someone wants to link them all up via, say, 30+ boards or something, please do! I'd love to see what others do with my ideas, just remember - I done the original work, doesn't mean its mine - the routes were uploaded to the DLS, so feel free to chop/change/modify to your hearts content - its your route now - make the most of it and enjoy :)

I'm pumped that people can see that influence.
Young Daniel messaged me last night and said "Is that Mullet Creek?"
I'm fond of that area.:)

Cheers

Well, as i live in Wondabyne, may i say congratulations. You've captured the look of the area very well. It's hard to tell exactly where the shot was taken, but i'm going to guess it's just south of the station, purely because of the position of the hill in the background.
All we need now are some oyster rack splines, and it will be perfect.:D

Anyway, here's more shots from my modular route; NSW Leycester. I am now happy with how this route looks, and am considering it uploading to the DLS.

Enjoy these.

Edit: Just uploaded this to the DLS. If you do DL this, please let me know what you think.

Hello Hurleyco & Everyone

Well I might know what your 14 hours of boredom has resulted in;
  • A QGR C16
  • A QGR Stephenson Valve Gear PB15
  • OR This might be far off the answer
  • A QGR C19

Very Close...

It's an Original C17, yes, another one...
The only detailed Diagram I have is of a C17, so... yea...

A solid 4 Days work, every bit to scale, and Detail...

I have no intention to put it into Trainz, however, If you want to... I guess changes can be made.... If I do however, I'd build it to Rival some of the best Loco's Kickin' Around the Trainz Community... Realistic Firing, Realistic Steaming, Very Realistic Cab (Drips of water leaking from taps, stuff moving with the pitch & yaw of the Loco, working Hydrostatic Lubricator, etc.), Working Ashpan (C17's have Hydraulic Ashpans), Working Cylinder Cocks, Blowdown Valve, the ability to Steam from scratch, I'd even like to experiment with an oil Lubrication system (Possibly a menu within the context menu, showing oil levels in pots on the Motion, etc. which have to be filled periodically, and when they're empty, a squeaking sound occours whenever you move the engine, and it moves slower or something...)

I know it sounds big, but if we work together, i'm sure we could figure it out...

PM me if you're interested...

Hurleyco;)

Hello All

Here Is Some For The Long Train Ride Ahead and QGR Mt Hilliard is Now On DLS but I have worked on V2 which Includes a lonely Gated Crossing with a small cottage, a creek bridge & much more detail with tree's & grasses + Flowers. But I might get working on a Typical North Coast Crossing Loop becuase it somewhat boring working just one train. So that boys should get you drooling:mop:

hi all,
i'm off to get some steaks for a BBQ tonight
<<Image snip>>
cheers,
patchy

Now THAT'S FUNNY:hehe: :hehe: . Well done Patchy. You even have the means for the BBQ at the head of the train! When the diesel shed was active at Mayne, we had a fireman worked there that used to cook his meals on the coal shovel during the steam days. Was well known for his sausages!
