Strange!

Perhaps it is a height problem, from the ground level low side view we may be looking under the cars. I dunno! Just another strange T:ane thing. In your later shot the viewing angle is more from above so it appears the cars are on the road which is how we normally see scenery components. Anyway, it was still an excellent screenshot. Although I live in SA, I still am very fond of Victorian countryside.

Thanks again for the compliment Peter. I'll just have to be careful what angle I take the shots on where cars are involved.

Nice shots Patchy and Graeme. Especially love that river shot, looking great, well done mate.

Cheers,
Baz.

Another from my converted Oxford to Queens route.
Thanks to Axe, there is now a lot more. Queens has now been (partially) extended to 10 Mile Creek and there is a further ~60Km of branch line.
This is x45 and x49 on a morning run through Evie.

The Redcliffe Peninsula Line will be actually opening. After more than 100 years of "argy-bargy" by politicians, Redcliffe will finally get it's first railway connection. The branch line will run from Kippa-Ring Station on the Redcliffe Peninsula to Petrie Station merging with the main line to Brisbane.
It officially opens on Monday 3rd October 2016 with full services starting the next day.
I registered for a 'ticket-to-ride' and in a split second, there it was printing out next to my desktop. Can't wait to be one of the first people on board.

G'day everyone. Great news Roy, since you completed the line before them they should let you on for free :D. I plan on having a good look around your new Sydney route tonight.
Great screenshots lately everyone! Oxford to Queens is looking awesome in TANE as does Cooma - Bombala. Can't wait to try them both out.

SYDNEY METRO

Hey guys, I was just wondering whether anyone was working on the proposed Sydney Metro line. This will be an additional line to the current rail network servicing the Sydney metropolitan area.

Initially the Project covers Chatswood to Sydenham, but will extend to Bankstown, and from Epping to Chatswood.
The Chatswood to Sydenham component of the project includes the construction and operation of a new metro rail line from Chatswood, under Sydney Harbour through Sydney’s CBD to Sydenham.
The project will deliver seven new metro stations, at:

  • Crows Nest
  • Victoria Cross
  • Barangaroo
  • Martin Place
  • Pitt Street
  • Central Station (new underground platforms)
  • Waterloo.
The twin railway tunnels between Chatswood and Sydenham will be delivered using five tunnel boring machines, including a specialised TBM under Sydney Harbour due to the rock conditions at the bottom of the Harbour. The first TBM will be in the ground before the end of 2018.

If you haven't read about it have a look at this link,...

The stations will be focussing on safety with glass barriers along the platform length. Doors line up with train car doors and open at the same time. This is similar to what I've seen in a number of overseas metro systems. It looks like Sydney is moving with the times and within the next 10 years we'll have an even greater rail network.

Probably a big ask but I'm interested to know if anyone can make glass walls with opening doors.

Terrific shots Graeme. The definition is so clear.
By the way, the first day train tickets on the Redcliffe Peninsula Line are free. You've just got to register.

Evening All;

Great work so far; I am taking a break from Trainz to focus on things but I will come back shortly over the summer when I get my new computer to hold TANE.

@Roy; I be there, as it not often a new line opens and best soak it up, as after all the line has been long overdue for 125 years.

@Mark; Great work on the western line; I note that my PB15 tender will need to be uploaded for TANE, along with a few things.

Regards,

M.G

Hi Steve, Great shots mate. I do like your walls, Station Logos and wall lighting. Are they available at all?

Cheers mate.
