AnnouncingTrainz™ Simulator 2009 & Trainz™ Simulator X

chip got here. Harlem jumped from 32 to 80 FPS, maxed values. workable Trainz on the trackz.

so far, i'm really happy with it. and, i've got a Q9550 chip coming on monday, and that should happy-up my frame rates even more. i'm running well now though, with about a third-higher frame rate than in '2006 trainz, and the surveyor is pretty good now, with pretty amazing memory... what? 'control', i guess, where the cut and paste and working large bases is quick and much more fun to use.

I've decided to wait till Trainz X to upgrade. I don't see the sence of upgrading again so soon when 2010 gets here so I will just wait. Maybe then the copyright, graphics, and other problems will be resolved. Plus more high quality routes will be out then.

Hi FinnishDevelopers,

Thank you for the heads up. I'm sure there is at least one more user on the forums who uses win2k still. :hehe: I never got TRS 09 and to be honest, I don't think I am missing all that much either, but that's just me.

Again, thanks for letting us know. ^^

Why?

I'm sure that they only made it so that people with the correct system to make it work well could download the beta. And the bad frame rate is one thing, but I have everything that trainz recommened and still the PC is oblivious to my commands.

I know why my PC was not working well, it's graphix card burnt out!

...everybody wants some...

 Those .ja files are the bone strength of Auran Jet.

A proprietary access we so don't need....

Let the game be...to hell with trying to make excellent better..!

The only access we may need is to revitalise PaintShed...but who cares about PS...

We are given an "open-end" simulator. Make the best you can of it & before you know it, the core access will be realised!

Content Managing...

Don't know if mentioned yet, but something that would be fantastic for a Trainz release is the option to delete locos/rolling stock that otherwise "sit" taking up space.
No offense, but I am only interested in North American railroading, and would love to get rid of all the non-related content. Sure, hard drives are large now for lots of capacity, but why waste it on content I'll never look at?
At least the option/choice would be nice.

You absolute can!!! Like said above, use CM2 to delete any item that you do not want; the only exceptions are the built-in content included with the game. Right now the only option is to disable the content, not deleting. Maybe someday they will be able to delete completely also. I will mention this in Beta testing and see if something could be done. ;)

Trainz Simulator X?? Sounds like a soft porn version.

Sorry for trivialising what will be a feat of great endevour.

Most of us will probably be railroading in the great beyond by the time the XXX hard core version comes out.

OMG!! Just imagine there goes my favourite Class "B 69" de-skinned and coupled to an awful "young" 422 Class from above the border!

What a horrid thought :hehe:
Cheers
