2009 start-up problem

I have 2006, 2009 and 2010 installed o my computer and have been able to use either until last night. When I clicked on my desktop icon to launch 2009, nothing seems to happen, I had no other programs open at the time. When I then opened Windows Task Manager, I see that a process called Launcher is cranking away, using 25% of my CPU. So, I figured it might have some house cleaning to do before actually starting Trainz. Well, here it is, 10 hours later and Launcher is still cranking away in the background and Trainz2009 has yet to open.

2006 amd 2010 launch with no problems. 12 hrs ago, 2009 launched with no problems.

Any clues as to what is going on? Do I need to abort and re-install?

Thanks.

Launch CMP (Content Manager) and run a database repair. That should fix your problem.

Can't launch CM because Launcher is tied up doing this thing. There is no opening screen, just Launcher.exe working in the background doing something. Even if I go to the BIN directory and click on ContentManager.exe, the computer goes into the same routine. Does anyone know what it is doing and should I let it run it's course?

There is a way of doing a datatabase repair using TrainzUtils. Can't remember the details off the top of my head - they are on the Wiki. May (or may not) help but worth a try.

There is by using the DOS command prompt C:\ However you have to get the syntax perfect or it will not work. I used it when I was having problems with 06, but I don't remember the exact path used.

Yes you can run CM.

Open the folder where Trainz is installed - i.e. C:|Program Files\Auran\TS2010.

Open up the Bin folder. ContentManager is located there.

Note if you installed this on a 64-bit platform, the program is located in the C:\Program Files (x86) folder instead of the C:\Program Files.
