Raildriver with TRS19, how to get camera keys and zoom keys to function

My install of Raildriver with TRS19 works except for the camera up, down, right, and left button. Also the zoom in and out rocker does not work. I am referring to the keys pictured below.

If you have not gotten this far, in getting Raildriver to work, go to http://raildriver.com/support/trs.php and also see http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/Raildriver.

To get the above buttons to work, go to http://piengineering.com/PISupport/SoftwareMacroWorks.php and install the current version of Macroworks. Your Raildriver console is an X-keys device. See the tutorials at http://piengineering.com/PISupport/SoftwareMacroWorks.php, especially the one on the key stroke features.
Start Macroworks, it probably is on the task bar. What you see should look like this.

Double click the left mouse on any of the blue buttons. Example follows, you may also have to left mouse click the keystrokes tab.

Be sure to “check” the “Automatic separation of up and downstrokes box”. Press the key you wish to program, for instance, camera up key (the up arrow key). Save it.
Below is a picture of my “macro list”.

You may have to boot your PC when adding or making changes.

I had communicated with Railworks (P.I. Engineering) about them updating their website with these instructions. Nothing has changed on their site so I thought I would share what I know. I also do not know why Trainz cannot natively support the Railworks controller. At least Raildriver mostly works in TRS19 and with the addition of Macroworks all the keys/buttons work. Perhaps someone who is a You Tube star could create a video of this install. Also, it would be nice if somebody could update the Trainz/Raildriver Wiki instructions.

Good luck.

This is the current state of my Raildriver in TRS19. I had set it aside for other projects, but thanks to your sharing of this information, I expect to get the Raildriver working very quickly. Very much appreciate!

Thanks a ton or 10, I've been trying to figure that out in Tane, I'll assume its the same issue. I have TRS19 but still playing Tane and Friday my wife surprised me with
this decent sized box on the couch. Opened it up and she had bought me a RD after seeing me looking at their page, I guess she knows the look I get when I see something
I want. LOL

I'll try that out later this evening, gotta go change the oil in her van and work on one of the kids cars right now, Thanks again though :)

rcwarner1953,

This worked exactly as you described in your most excellent tutorial!
Very useful for other things like "switch behind" and "switch ahead", for example.
Thank You! Ken

The "zoom" rocker didn't work in TS12 for me. Never used the "zoom" in any train-sim, so never thought about the lack of function.

The other "up/down/right/left" rocker switch works in TRS2019.

The "switch" buttons can be assigned in the Control Settings "in-game".

As long as you're a Gold subscriber running the Trainz Plus beta, this issue has been resolved. With build 99912 released this week, the bindings for camera up/down/left/right and zoom in/out in the controls settings dialog have been made editable, with alternate control settings that can be successfully linked to the RailDriver rocker switches. Works, and I've able to discontinue the use of MacroWorks for this support.

Since I'm not Gold (merely a cash customer, remember those?) I will have to wait.
Thanks for this Gary, won't spend any more time on MacroWorks.
