YOUR Railway Videos!

We have Harry Potter to thank for this, at least in part, since the use of the West Highland Extension in the films has attracted so many extra visitors to the 'Jacobite' tourist steam train that the summer excursions now run twice daily. Not the Glenfinnan viaduct here, however, but the peak of the last summit at Morar station, with the afternoon up service in the hands of 'Black Five' 44871, putting on a wee show for the final climb....

That takes some real guts to stand between buffers during a couple up ... I'm glad I don't work for the RR no more ,,, allot of dangerous unexpected railcar movements ... One guy I worked with said that he almost got coupled up when a set of railcars drifted in the repair shop ... he was standing in the gauge, and wasn't paying attention, and felt the coupler nudge him on the back, and he jumped out of the way just in the nick of time ... I hated coupling air hoses, and turning in the trainline air valves ... something always moved, and scared the bajeezus outa' you ! Train crews were always making movements without using a radio for communication ... once a train lurched backward 20' in a 1/4 second, without any warning ... BOOM, went 65 railcars in a violent couple up ! Luckily I had my brown pants on !

When ever I crossed tracks with railcars on them, I walked 20' distant the rear coupler ... I hated attaching a telemetry to a train coupler, and giving road air tests, something always moved unexpectedly.

Okay, time to guess this locomotive, I see it didn't have dynamic brakes bulges on it...
Sweet Video and catch on the GP38-2! Led to believe this one is likely EX-MP because it doesn't have DB Blocks
2nd Video, I bet 1342 is a GP40 with an Helm leasing probably GP38 behind.

One from me,

X 43 hauls some VPCX/VPAX wagon's to Waurn Ponds Cement at around 09:30 hrs, and a few blasts of it's awesome horn which can only be found on the X class.

Cheers.

CSX W-999-17 and CSX 999-20
Two High and Wide loads that I caught on two different days. Also tossed in a few other trains at the CSX Cayce Yard in South Carolina.
The first is a GE 9A (HArriet) Turbine doing a reverse move from France to GE Turbine in Greenville SC. The second is a turbine move from GE Greenville.
