The 3chime on the Wabash 1189 for sure! I don't know what its called but if you want to hear it go to YouTube and look up "Monticello Railway Museum" don't look at the one with the freight train, thats the old horn, we had to remove it for noise complaints in Monticello sometime back, use the video about some people waiting at the Wabash Depot.

Yep, the K5LA horn sounds the best when the Doppler Effect KICKS IN!! And you hear it fading away. My second favorite has to be the Leslie RS3L. followed by K5LLA.m Some more favorites below

Now steam 'whistles', that's music to my ears. Especially the five-chimes that the D&RGW used on its narrow gauge locos. Go figure...

but I personally think the K5HL on the new CSX ES44AHs are VERY Abnoxious!

I didn't mind the K5HL when I first heard it last year when I got back into railfanning, but every horn gets abnoxious when that's the only thing you hear for the last 12 months. ES44AHs are about the only thing that will ever go through Spruce Pine, NC nowadays (exept on a local).
