Trainz Forge New Haven I-5

Hey, everyone! I’ve been driving with the New Haven I-5 from Trainz Forge and have found that it is shamefully slow when driven in Cab Mode. I want it to be able to reach decent speeds (similar to those attained by PWeiser’s New Haven I-5 in Cab Mode) because it is my all-time favorite steam locomotive! I have no intent to distribute or share this modified locomotive with anyone else because the license says not to so I’m hoping someone knows what to do to properly modify the Engine Spec so that this locomotive isn’t painfully slow, even when pulling lighter loads. Bear in mind that I’m talking about a clone of the original Engine Spec, given that I didn’t want to mess up the original.

For anyone wondering, I’m trying to get it to be able to pull heavier passenger trains (850+ tons not including the tender) at speeds of at least 60 miles per hour (96.56 kilometers per hour) in Cab Mode and I want its performance to be similar to its performance in real life.

So thank you to anyone who can provide me with some helpful tips! I’d appreciate it a lot!

You can change the engine-spec in the session you are driving.

Edit your session in the session editor.
Click on the consists icon located on the right side of the screen in Surveyor 1.0 (Classic).
Click on the "?" button located on the lower right.
Where it says Engine: Default, replace that with the same one that PWEISER uses. If something else is in there, replace that one with the same one that's used by PWEISER.

Click on OK.
Save your session and give it a try.
