What exaclty is Trainz Simulator 12 ?

Is it just TS2010 with multiplayer and extra routes ? Or is it something new entirely ?

I just want some of the confusion in my head to be answered. Because im thinking of buying that if I get the money in time...

And what do you guys think it is ? Are you going to pre-order it ? Or will you wait and see what happens afterwards ?

According to the advertisement, you can also zoom out to "satellite view", so I assume there may be other changes to the program as well.

The way that N3V is presenting the new Trainz edition looks very good. I would not have even close to 150 bucks to buy this thing, but it will be interesting to see which Trainzers become legends due to this. :D ;)

Oh, and by the way, the printed keyboard shortcut map is not totally new to Trainz: my old copy of UTC has one. :D :p ;)

Regards.

I see the route list looks pretty impressive as well. Ive just placed my order, the cost will be worth it:D

There is no mention though when it will be released we shall have to wait and see...

Seems like a Trainz 2011. But why is it called Trainz Simulator 12 ?

In a sense, it still seems like a more updated TS2010. But it does have some nice extra routes.

Did anybody pre-ordered this yet ? And if so, how is it ?

Information seems very sparse at the moment as to what is new. All I can see, apart from new routes and including multiplayer (neither of which interest me particularly) is the ability to zoom out further in height and new realistic SpeedTree assets; hardy earth shattering, although the second one could be if my emphasis is true. As a pensioner I certainly will not be spending £90 on a program that is just a hobby and has no interest at all to my wife.

Trainz 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition $149.99 ??????

By the time this actually becomes worth it's retail price, Trainz will have changed so much, that it won't be compatible with the then current version of Trainz 20**, that people will be running. Look at the situation now with trying to run 2004 stuff in 2010 'Native'. ;)
It's just a posh version in a tin with a poster. :hehe:

Hmmmmmm. Realistic Speed Trees?? Until I see otherwise, this pairing of adjective and noun are mutually exclusive.

I think the actual trainz 2012 is not 149.00 thats for the pack of every trainz game and the new one. The new one will most likly cost 50.00 dollars is what I am thinking by its self

I would presume there will be a normal edition minus the armour plating at a normal sort of price as well, collectors editions of anything are usually, as stated in this case, a limited number and more expensive compared to the regular version.
