What content is on your radar?

Pacific Northwestern content like the SP&S, NP, and others, as well as more CP content, particularly new versions of the GP9u's. As well as more GN steam, of which there seems to be precious few models of. a variety of classic F45/FP45s as well as updated and more detailed Pullman heavyweight and streamlined coaches in a variety of schemes. And, I too would like to see ANL's engines return. Thanks to a non-working password reset i was unable to get back into my old account, and since i had lost my TS12 disk, i ended up re-registering. Long since lost ANL's FEF-3s in a hard drive wipe caused by a virus over a year ago and I'd love to see him return with whatever hes got finished, if it ever is finished that is.

What is on my radar, One thing, I missed from Trainz2006 was the map program that could be printed out of the routes. Secondly a method of printing out Schedule Library and other rules that one could review without being in the program

Yes, I agree.

Yeah ... Trainz Map -- Implemented with T06 but has been around since T06 --

I suggested this years ago, and it's beyond me why N3V has yet to create a program that can detail everything in a route!

Now that TANE operates on a 64bit platform, which makes it the most powerful trainz version to previous versions, hopefully down the road they re-visit this idea, and give us something grand!

Well said, Trainz needs more narrow gauge routes (particularly D&RGW), the narrow gauge circle would be a fabulous project.

Here's something no-one has mentioned- South Africa. Something like Kimberly - Bloemfontain - Johannesburg in the80s and early 90s would be great, back when the 25s, the 25NCs and the GMAM Beyer - Garatts were in regular service. This country is completely ignored by Trainz, with the exception of the token electric included since UTC! Imagine Soth Africa in TANE, it's got beautiful scenery, fantastic wildlife and of course one of the most interesting railway networks in the world.

South Africa I definitely second, particularly the 25s! And some stuff in the present day would be pretty cool too. :)

I'd also like to see more modern Aussie stuff, particularly Genesee & Wyoming's operations along the Ghan line (I don't know it's real name . . . apologies). That would be glorious!

And I would love more Chinese and Russian routes. I suppose that if I went looking I'd find some, but I haven't really heard of any besides the two included in TS12, and there are so many interesting operations in that part of the world that I'd quite enjoy. I'd especially like models of China's two 6000+ horsepower monsters, the HXN-3 and HXN-5.

The massive Beyer-Garratts would be awesome. As would the Red Devil and 3511 "Frieda". I would love to see the SAR in T:ANE.

Here's something you can try:

Edit the session in TS12+SP1. Right-click on the schedule library rule and select "Copy". Now paste the rule contents into a text document. You can now see all the parameters for the commands. A bit of post-processing would help to resolve the KUID into a command name.

I tried editing the data and pasting into a new session once, but that didn't seem to work.

Cheers - Trevor

Thank you, Trevor for this. It beats opening up the profile.dat in a text viewer and then scanning through all the binary code that shows up as smiley faces and stuff for the schedule.

Saving this information is so helpful for recreating a session from scratch as these commands can be a drag to enter in as we shuffle about a route looking for track marks and other destinations.

Having considered all the suggestions on this thread, my dream TANE route list would be:
ECML, London-Edinburgh, 1980s, which we have anyway.
Georgetown Loop, Colorado, USA
Lynton & Barnstaple Railway
County Donegal Railways (Don't care which section)
New York-New Haven Line, 1930s
Kimberly-Bloemfontain-Johannesburg, 1980s
London-Brighton, 1950s
San Francisco-Los Angeles, 1940s with a full 'Daylight' Set
(Part of) The Jitong Railway, China in the early 2000s
Quite a representative selection I feel, should keep most people happy. You've got NG, Steam, Diesel, Electric, MUs. They are no continental European or Australian routes though, which could perhaps be sold separately or something.

If I could pick the routes included in T:ANE, I'd pick:
Norfolk Southern's and CSX's routes between Atlanta, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee, along with the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and the shortline Chattanooga & Chickamauga so that I could recreate the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's excursions over the shortline's tracks.
The electrified route over, not under, Goddard Pass.
Ffestiniog Railway
Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad
One of Japan's Sinkansen routes
The complete Washington, D.C. - Boston, Massachusetts Northeast Corridor
San Francisco's cable cars and the F-Line, with its (the F-Line) vintage trolleys
The complete Alaska Railroad
The Arkansas & Missouri, with Alcos, Alcos and more Alcos!
The interurban freight railroad Iowa Traction

As for Model Railroadz:
The last version of Tony Koester's Allegheny Midland
The last version of John Allen's Virginian & Ohio
George Sellios' Franklin & South Manchester
John Armstrong's Canandaigua Southern

That's all I can think of . . . for now.

In regards to some of these, though not Auran made, the Durango & Silverton exists in Trainz (and is quiet nice), several versions of the Cumbres & Toltec, and several versions of SF's Muni lines. As for The Iowa Traction, I would love to see that, and as for TVRM & the C&C, I intend to eventually release my version (it currently goes past Rock Spring, and I will do more work to complete it after I ride the SSS in Nov. That is one good list though, and I love every single one of those lines. I love your taste in railway line Jordon.

Get tickets for either November 14th or 15th 'cause 630 and 4501 will be doubleheading that weekend. The tickets for those trips might already be sold out, though.

Oh I have had tickets for the double header on Nov. 14 (supposedly the only double header of the year) since July. Thank you for telling me in case I didn't know, because I would be angry if I didn't know and missed it.

Would love to see more animated animal, reptile and bird varieties etc that could walk, fly, run, slither etc. Whether in "train" or non train group. I fully appreciate what we already have is very good but a few more would be wonderful.

What about some nice UP steam? Could we get a pack that has an FEF, a 4-6-6-4 challenger, a 9000, and a 4-8-8-4 big boy? A lot of people want this, so I think it would be a good step for N3V.
