Do you mean .......... 49922 to 57720 (patch is 1.76GB in size) ?
This & others need to be done before the final patch to 61388.

I know there's a direct patch from 49922 to 61388, but you need to make sure that it's patching the right folder and that the patch hasn't previously failed or been cancelled half-way through the process.

To check the folder, look at the top of the patcher window - if the folder there is wrong, click the .. button to select the correct folder by locating and selecting the trainz.exe file in the root folder (not the Bin folder), then click Apply Update.

In some cases though you may still get the red text even with the Apply Update button available - in this case, just click the Apply Update button.

Not really,
I was assuming that the patch I was looking at was the patch I needed
If this is case, I think it should have been explained clearly

Thanks Shane, I didn't know about that one, was just trying to help by using info I got
from your other link, as it's all I can work from, I haven't rec'd my TS12 copy yet but will
probably have to patch myself when it does arrive, so will try to remember this info. :)

No problem. The data for that is on my tutorial site though, although it may not be on the Can I Patch My Version page yet.

That's the way the patching system works. There are three possibilities, and two of them I've mentioned above.

The third one is that your original build prior to getting that patch was not 49922, but this is unlikely.

Have not quite cottoned on

So is the path correct

Looking at the path, it's trying to patch your TS2009 installation. Change that by clicking the .. button and locating your TS12 install folder, then select the trainz.exe file inside.

Patchy: I just Patched mine from 49922 to 61388..You do this building up the builds one at a time..Not all at once.. had no problem doing it this way..I have discovered all things are not compatible..Good Luck..

did you install TS12 in the TS2009 folder?

Yours should be, on a 64 bit system, here... C:\Program Files (x86)\N3V Games\Trainz Simulator 12 if you install on C: drive letter.

Excellent.

You may have to do a QDR to glean out any extra errors that haven't come up yet. With the latest patch, there are some sounds that will error out. You'll need Audacity to fix most of the errors. Open for edit, open .wav file, save/export in Audacity, repeat for the next one.

Patched the game, with out a problem
Ended up with 400 faults, Never had any in the last build

Got routes that are faulty not a happy chappy:'(, never had that before, Still not sure how to fix WAV files:confused:

Hey Patchy,

Don't worry it's not as bad as you think! ;)

Here are the fixes:

Use Audacity to open and export the audio files back out at 44000 hz for the faulty content. This fixes these assets quickly. Also check for typos too in the sound-containers like spaces, missing quotes, and spelling errors.

For "mode" errors, change "time of day" to "time".

Hope this helps.

John
