I've seen quite a few posts recently about items not downloading from the DLS; these tenders may be caught up in that. Hopefully the issue will be resolved shortly....
I was able to download one using the ftp option from the black web DLS. If you're still having problems, let me know the exact tender you are trying to download and I'll investigate further.

And to not waste a bump, here are screenshots of some upcoming revised combination cars:

Virginia City Yards; 1869

As the yards in Virginia City may have looked at the end of 1869. The track to Carson has been completed, but not the line to downtown Virginia City where the railroad will later build a passenger and freight depot. The first car shops have been completed, and the roundhouse is well on its way.

By the end of 1870, the roundhouse was complete; as were the auxiliary buildings behind the car shops, and all were painted. The cut toward downtown VC was complete, and the track has been laid.

By the end of 1871, a coal dump was added south of the car shops. This dump was for reprocessing tailings from the Mexican Mill down on the Carson River. The V&T actually hauled the ore back up from the river for processing at another mill in Virginia City - ore that they originally hauled from Virginia City down to the river in the first place...

Hi Pencil,

Thanks for the screens, I love the way the scene changes and how time sort of shows how things are progressing. I just love that, would been cool to sit inside of Trainz and see the same thing happen. LOL

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Linda and AJ!

By the end of 1873, a tailing trestle was built from the Chollar mine and just started to cross the tracks (you can see the white ore dump just starting to appear at the top of the illustration.)
A small winter house was built for switch tenders, and a telegraph line was completed to the roundhouse.

Thanks, 817Taylor!

By the end of 1874, 20' smoke stacks were added to the roundhouse. The old car shops and miscellaneous buildings behind it were replaced with a larger blacksmith shop and new, larger car shops. The turntable was expanded 10 feet to 60 feet in diameter. The sand house was added, and the coal dump was filled in under the tracks (although it appears that side dump cars may have still been able to be used.)

That is amazing Curtis! Keep up the good work! BTW do you have the Julia mine built next to the roundhouse yard? Could you maybe post more pictures of the Virginia City area? I am glad to see this project still going.

Not yet - I'd like to, but it didn't fit into the frame of these shots, so I've postponed it. Same with the Chollar just outside the top of the pictures...

By the end of 1875, the track to C&C (low line) was added. The 2nd water tank was completed around this time, and the platform to the east is now gone.
A new 4-stall addition to the roundhouse has been started, and will finish next year.
