I purchased 3 month First Class ticket and clicked on "Activate" but have no indication anywhere that it is installed.
Also, purchased Blue Comet using Voucher (after First Class install), clicked on Install and the Blue Comet "Installer" exe file downloaded.
I ran it but when open TrainZ, Blue Comet is not listed.
What is difference between simulatorcentral purchases and Auran purchases? Are they both the "same site"?
Any suggestions?

First, go to this page and see if you first class ticket is really active. It will tell you on that page if it is, and when it expires. http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php

When you start trainz go to the options on the first screen and under General you should see the Blue Comet Content Pack Listed.
Sim central and Auran are the same.

The Blue Comet Locos and cars can be found in the Railyard lists as CNJ ___________ Make sure you don't have favorites selected, because I think that they are not defaulted to favorites when you install, so you have to click favorites next to the loco and cars for them to show up in your favorites list.

To start with, open Content Manager (click the Content button in the launcher) then select File, Settings;

Click the Internet tab and see what it says for active first class ticket.

Sniper.
It says in Internet window that the First Class Ticket is active with 89 days to go (I bought the 3 month).
But see my other reply.

There is no listing for Blue Comet. The only listing is for the TrainZ game that I installed.

If that's the case, add the serial number for the blue comet in the same way you entered your Trainz serial number.

Finally, it says active First Class Ticket for me.
But still cannot locate Blue Comet.
I run install file but no listing in the Routes for game.

When you click on that execute file, does it give you a place to put the serial number they emailed you when you purchased the Blue Comet?

Perhaps I can clear that up.

Firstly, there are no routes in the Blue Comet pack.

Secondly, you have to add the serial number for said pack as I stated in the previous post.

Thirdly, if you want to quickly place the consist, look for CNJ in the Consists tab in Surveyor (it's the wheel icon).

I have been typing in the SN I received for the game itself.
I never received an email with a serial number for the Blue Comet game.

If you didn't receive a serial number for your Blue Comet, have you checked your Simulator Central account? If it's not there, then contact Helpdesk.

"for the Blue Comet game" I haven't bought any DLC for Trainz, so correct me if I'm wrong - the Blue Comet addon is a trainset? Or just a loco? It wouldn't be a separate game or a route, correct? Does it come with a ready consist or a set of sessions, or is the end user supposed to use surveyor to make up a consist for quick drive (or create sessions using that loco, by preference)?

The Blue Comet is a trainset that can be added to a route/session in Trainz, and it comes with two prebuilt consists as well as the individual parts.

I went to history and did notice a serial number for the Blue Comet.
I'll try again using that.
By the way, robert above gave the url www.auran.com/TRS 2004/DLS.php which took me to Download Station where it mentioned my First Ticket as active.
How would I have even found this page unless was given the link above here? I have clicked on most links at the Auran site and never found this page.

The documentation and instructions on Trainz leaves much to be desired in my opinion. I am a retired trainer and for 25 years wrote technical training manuals, so am always looking into how things can be simple for the average user to understand. It would take someone about 5 minutes at Auran to compose a text file with all the instructions, on how to download and install items like the Blue Comet.. I went through the same issue as you did, when I purchased Blue Comet a couple of months ago, and I am certain someone buying it a week from now will go through the same thing. Luckily there is the forum here to straighten out these issues, but honestly, it shouldn't even be necessary if a proper readme file came with the add ons.

Same thing when you buy the Dutchess, if you don't know that the locos and cars are listed by another name, you will never find them either in the Railyard or in Surveyor. That's ridiculous, when all it would take is someone to tell the buyer what to look for once it is installed. Luckily there are people like Shane and Sniper and some others that can help people along.

Here is a thread from a few weeks ago where someone could not locate the Dutchess Add on consists. http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?93929-Duchess-Add-0n&highlight=dutchess

Indeed. In some instances I've even got a tutorial to help out further - most of them are available in the linked thread in my signature.

It will not install then. Go to this page, order history and click on the Blue Comet you bought and it will come up with the page with the serial number for the Blue Comet. Copy and paste it in the installer and you are off and running.
https://www.auran.com/planetauran/Order_History.php

Went there, now noticed serial number and reran install.
Under "Content" got to what was installed "Today" and Blue Comet was listed.
I clicked on Start, another download ran (?), then showed missing dependency. When clicked on Missing Dependencies, ran another Start.
Still cannot see Blue Comet listed under "Routes" in the game.
(Could not find anything on Route downloads in your tutorials.)
