Lginc, you always have nice shots, your route is looking sweet. I see you use 2009, how is it. Did you have other versions of Trainz before? I want that road, and I'm sure it's a 2009 thing.

Heres my collection of UP locomotives and rolling stock. I'm pretty sure I missed a few locomotives though. Anyway,

@ lginc : wow ! nice and lovely shots, i love that : good job !

I see that still missing a few in my collection so, locomotives Union Pacific, the NOOZE I do not know find it ?

Here Southwest United States UP into the desert : i would to reproduce a scenic , would like to reproduce a scene typical New Mexico or Arizona maybe, but it's hard to do, I suppose it's still possible with some elements still to do something that one can represent the Southwest U.S.

well sure, do not forget the legendary locomotive that marked the rails at American, here on my map but it also lacks the collection of payware, it will be in 2010 with other test maps ... I love the steam, it has charm in the bottom of backdroop desert, I do not know if it's typical U.S.

Has anyone ever done a 1940's, 50's or 60's Union Pacific route?
I plan on doing one using UP Turbines, Pa1's, F7A's and B's, GP9's and Union Pacific coaches and rolling stock commonly found throughout that era.

TrainzItalia has Sherman Hill from the 50's, but you have to back date all of the carz as they used modern ones. Other than that it's pretty convincing.

Heres some of my Union Pacific route, which is based in the 1950's. :)

Heres a UP Domeliner headed by a UP F7A and F7B, leaving the Crewlake Tunnels.

On right: Alco PA1 no. 605 and PB1 no. 605b pulling a express passenger train.

Union Pacific Gas Turbine no. 18 waits at a signal as UP U50c passes with unloaded flat cars.

Oh, and two questions-
1- Did they have searchlight signals in the 1950's?
2- Were UP U50c's around in the 1950's?

WOW!! , LOTS of great shots posted this week! :D

Chris, The 50's was a great time for RRing:D ...unless your using Trainz to depict that time frame:eek: ...you are so limited as to what is available engine wise in the 50's. Steam is still good to use, F & E units, Fairbanks Morse engines, and GP7-9's, and Alco PA-B's, other then those, thats about all you have.

NO U50C's, 8500 series Gas Turbines, DD40AX's, and the list just goes on for miles:eek: , NOT a good time frame to do in Trainz if you like a large assortment of engines, but hey, its YOUR game, you can do whatever you want;) .

PERSONALLY, I think if you like the older stuff, and just a touch of the newer, like SD40-2's, SD40's, GP's, U50C's, DD40AX's, 8500 Gas Turbines etc. , you might want to consider the late 60-70's. In the 60-70's there was STILL older engines on the rails, that was the time when you could see many older engines just before they were phased out, no steam though, unless it was an excursion run, just like today.

Like i mentioned before, I'm a bit of a UP History buff, i have TONS of books & DVD's on the UP, its taught me alot about what the UP had, how many they had, and when they ran them, but without that stuff you'll find GOOGLE is your best friend as for what was running in what time frames.

I hope that helps:)
