falcon500, NICE SHOT!:D , I too have that engine, I honestly think its the Best UP steamer i have.

Lginc, you always have nice shots, your route is looking sweet. I see you use 2009, how is it. Did you have other versions of Trainz before? I want that road, and I'm sure it's a 2009 thing.
Motorbreath, THANK YOU!:)
To answer your questions, YES, I TOTALLY love TS2009, I havent even seen a need to patch it yet, i havent had any problems with it at all.

No, i havent had any other versions of Trainz, but i have been interested in it and followed it since TS2004. It was the graphics TS2009 had that really sold me on finally buying the game, TS09's graphics really stepped up the game making it pretty darn realistic, I see a HUGE DIFFERENCE in
TS09/10 compared to the previous versions, Real Glad i bought it.

I am pretty sure that road IS a TS09 road, it defaults to it as first choice in surveyor, its called "Road 2L Highway" .

On another note...
The "trueness" on my route has been falling apart:o , I have been drifting away from trying to make it as close to the real route as I possibly could, instead i have been putting in things I really like or seen on other routes, and putting in stuff I remember seeing as a kid...oh well, its kinda made it more interesting and perhaps a touch more fun to run on this way;) .

Just added these wig wags(pics below) , I vividly remember this EXACT STYLE wig wags all throughout town on the CNW & Milwaukee Road lines as a kid, sure they now are long gone but believe it or not, some are STILL UP, and OPERATING in Northern Wisconsin, pretty cool huh!:D

** DOH! I just noticed i forgot to put the relay box's in:o , I better get on it.

Great shots Ignic! :udrool: :mop: :udrool: :mop: :udrool:
Just a question, where can I find thay grass you have used?

Ignic, nice pics! You sure those roads are built-in?! Also, I strongly suggest you update your 09. Trust me, it'll be better!

Chris & springtransit, Thank you!:D

Chris, Download EVERYTHING "Jankvis" has available;) .

springtransit, I have build #38411, I just havent seen any indication as to how upgrading it is going to make it any better for me, I havent had any problems with it, if it aint broke...dont fix it;) .

I'm a little gun shy on updating things for the heck of it, i have another software program i use alot, did the first update on it, fixed a couple things but also created a couple problems:( , when the second update came out i updated again, now i cant even sort my props in the prop library :'( , and they never came out with another update:n: . Nope, not going to update TS09 unless i can find something that just doesnt work right, or unless i hear theres some SUPER SPECTACULAR thing that i am missing from not updating it...but that just hasnt happened.

Thankyou, but he has 317 pages of content on the DLS!
shock.gif
9.gif
2668.gif
9.gif

And each and EVERY ONE of those 317 downloads will be the VERY BEST downloads you'll have, time well spent, BELIEVE ME:D ;) .

I made my route based on the area I live in, Southern Wisconsin, so the main ingredient of grass i use is "JVC @ - Grass 360 Cluster Green Summer" , but if you look closely at my fields and along the tracks you'll see i ALSO add in a multitude of other grasses, herbs, wild flowers and shrubs in with the grass I mentioned above, I think doing that adds some more realism to it(looks more accurate to my area) instead of just putting in plain old grass...just my thoughts;) .

If your doing another area of the USA you will want to consider using different grasses to match the area your doing;) .

Added the relay box's in:D ...

I am planning on making another Union Pacific route based in modern times. I wish there was a button I only had to press once to download all of his grasses. :(

Deano:
Those are truly great shots! However, I'm betting southern Wisconsin doe not look like that today:D
Have a prosperous New Year.

Searching for & downloading the things you need is the first part of the fun in building your own route, as your route starts to come together you'll see that the time you spent searching & downloading was well worth it;) . On the DLS be sure and hit the detail view button so you can see the object, it will help in weeding out what you really want, and what you dont want:D .

Your 100% correct, Wisconsin looks NOTHING like it does in my pics, TODAY:hehe: , we are under a foot of snow, and it was a whole 3 degrees outside when i woke up this morning:eek: ...to top it off my sons jacket zipper broke yesterday so now we gotta go out in this cold weather and get him a new jacket, NOT looking forward to it:eek: .

Take my word for it, theres a UP Gevo idleing behind the Passing Zephyr:hehe:

hello lginc good to see your thread going good & strong chief & your route is looking like a well detailed masterpiece, well done.
May I ask were you got those cool looking wigwag signals from a couple of screens back or the creator thanks I can see them coming in handy for a future project.
Much appreciated Cheers
Andrew.
Here's some West Coast big time train action, you just don't see this kind of thing in little ol New Zealand:hehe:

Where can I find the Zephyr? :udrool: :mop: :udrool:

On another topic, from what I saw in a Union Pacific passenger trains dvd, Union Pacific sometimes had the end carriage of a passenger train like above
(except without the dome I think). Has anyone made one for trainz or is planning too? :udrool: :mop: :udrool: :mop:

Let me say everybody, wowwow! These shots are great. I'm working on getting all JVC content for my route I'm working on (not UP though). It's going to take a while... I've only gotten 6 pages of 25 items done thus far... :D

NIARTcar, VERY COOL SHOT!...though i dont see a UP in there:p .

gtasa, is that Trainzitllia's "Bigger Boy"? I havent seen any pics of it, but i would guess thats it.

JJDella, I am pretty sure that engine replicates the engine UP met up with the Central pacific with in Promitory;) .

Andrew, , ALWAYS GLAD to see you pop in! , you always seem to add some of the neatest shots here, THANKS! (Thank you for the complements too! )

I would be HAPPY to tell you where i got the wig wags from:D , NIARTcar turned me on to where to get them a few pages back, bnsf50 made them, and several other wig wag styles, just go to the DLS and under "description" type in "wig wag" , 9 of them, including the ones i have will show up;) , I hope that helps!

Chris, not sure where the Zephyr stuff comes from, DLS? , BUT the UP did infact have a dome observation car very similar to that(the end was more square though) , the car was titled "Moonglow" , it came from the "Train of Tomorrow" , a five car train that consisted of all dome cars, the UP ended up buying the whole train, including the E7 that pulled it. The UP ran that train after it was painted in UP colors for a couple months together, then they split the cars up between their City trains:D . NOBODY that i know of has made those in UP colors for Trainz:( .

trainzroxthehouse, there are MANY GREAT creators of vegetation for Trainz:D , so I dont want to short ANY of them, but if your just starting out, Jan's stuff is a good place to start;) .

On my side of the tracks...
I totally deleted Chicago as I had it, and just started all over from scratch. I have just about come to the halfway point to finishing the outskirts of Chicago, still have a few things to add to the side i started, and i havent even really done much the other side yet, but still, I think I am about half way there now.

NOT great pics by any means:o , but here's a few progress shots of what i have done so far...
