martinb1: The images are from Dearnbyshire. The last version put on the DLS was Dearnbyshire v,2 but I continue to add lines, towns and other features to fill in gaps and these images are from these added areas. Here are a couple more:

The Reverend delt in reality too. Every single engine in the series was based on a real engine (give or take). Several real engines show up in the books, be them famous (Flying Scotsman, City of Truro) or not (many of the 'visiting diesels' had real numbers.)
Railway Preservation would, frankly, be nowhere near at the level it's at without the Railway Series and Thomas.
If Awdry didn't dramatize his own experiences on the Talyllyn as the happenings on the Skarloey, the former might not be around to this day.
The gatekeeping attitude of 'Thomas isn't for real train enthusiasts' is, frankly, bullcrap.

I also do not have any interest whatsoever in Preservation railways, which in my opinion deal in make believe at best.

That might be his opinion on this stuff, which shouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Not everyone has to like thomas, inspirations are one thing (as the case of the rev with creating his stories from his personal experiences), but maybe not have someone like isambardkingdombrunel's personal opinions on both thomas and persevered railways trigger you and maybe make the thomas community as a whole look bad, like hearing stuff like that is somehow the same as committing atrocities or something. I'm also a ttte fan to some extent (I personally prefer the classic model era stuff and maybe some RWS), but I do find that community to be annoying and repetative sometimes with some people's attitudes and crappy OCs and such

Also I may be wrong here but I'm almost certain I'm not making anyone look bad. You two are fine making yourselves look bad all on your own.
To be frank there's some nasty attitudes in the Thomas fandom but no attitude is more toxic than 'railway preservation is a waste of time'.

1. I didn't mean that literally, but let's face it, some people will act like that when you might say/do something that is maybe a bit 'controversial' for some to hear/bear or tolerate, which some might take an offense like it's some kind of personal attack on them which honestly some ttte fans are and those individuals that might the minority (even if the loudest/obnoxious) does end up making the entire community look bad as a whole (at least to some normies/outsiders of the fandom) and the reputation of stuff like that doesn't exactly help. I'm not really saying that you are making anyone look bad, however your response to the other guy about his thoughts on thomas did came off a bit like you got slightly offended by it.
2. We're not making ourselves look bad on our own, we're just having our honest thoughts on this.
3. Did he really say that 'railway preservation is a waste of time'? Because I didn't see it as that, he might not be interesting in that personally, and mostly just associate them with thomas-ish type stuff from a regular non-thomas railway enthusiast point of view

My honest opinion boys, i did 20 years on BR (loco & dmu fitter). I have zero interest in preservation lines, i am sorry that my opinion upsets you LoustarJogger.
But i am in my 70's and i have found in all those years, that honest is always the best policy.

Bailey Gate as it currently stands - some detail added and some buildings appearing in the background, such as the pub and some houses.

In the complex now, providing a good shot of the barrels. I think these contained whey but I'm not 100% sure - and yes, there really were that many in the photos I have!
View of the entrance to the dairy. The mainline sweeps through on a gentle curve and here disappears towards Blandford Forum, a mere 6 miles away.

How on earth did you manage to stack up that many barrels PLP? However you did it it's impressive.

With a lot of patience and a good deal of help from Surveyor 2.0! Once I'd had a layer done I just cloned it and dragged it into position and built it up and then just changed random barrels. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out though - the largest barrel stack I could find was tiny by comparison.

I absolutely adore some of the tools in Surveyor 2.0 but can't wrap my head around it for normal use. I'll tend to flip back and forth between it and Classic while tweaking routes - the ability to adjust any object's roll is absolutely a lifesaver. And tweaking heights at miniscule amounts is so nice - I can use both to adjust cars with built-in shadows like jayholland's or kemplen's so those ground shadows are hidden within the road but the tires (tyres for you across the pond
) don't clip. Absolutely phenominal.KotangaGirl

Rebuilt Beyer Peacock single 'Sebastopol' at Bluebell Magna on my imaginary Norfolk layout. A locomotive by Paulz Trainz with some modifications made at my request by Paul.
Originally built in the 1850's a number of Beyer Peacock singles made it into the early 1900s. Very useful little engines they are too.
