I've been digging about in the snaps I took on my Lickey bank layout. I've had Lickey archived away for a while now, though I certainly had a lot of fun with it. It's one problem though was that the trackwork at Bromsgrove was shorter than scale length which limited train lengths somewhat, but apart from that it was accurate to the early 1930s track layout.
I found some of my LMS Garratt snaps. I purchased these Garratts some years ago from Paulz Trainz with the understanding that I'd need to do some work on them. Once I got them sorted they were absolutely ground shaking fun in every way. These are TS12 snaps in case you are wondering.

Looks like they were working on RMS Queen Elizabeth. That would have been a nice addition!

I borrowed Driver_Col's Leeds-Sheffield route in TANE to take a screenshot. No problem with the download, no missing dependencies. A couple of dependencies from the DLS were needed to be downloaded.There is a freeware LMS Garratt from this site
Six different livery versions of the Garratt in the download.
EDIT: It's a nice model and most probably better in many ways than my old one from Paulz Trainz, but at least my old one looks like it's got grubby from working hard.

I also downloaded the Garratt last night. I'm not impressed with the enginespecs, partly because the loco's aren't set up properly and partly because the LMS version uses an unauthorised rip-off of one of my specs. Worse than that, it's not even a suitable one - I think most people could tell the difference in performance between a Garratt and an SDJR 7F!
It's not the first time Duke_of_334/Duke Stephenson has done a copy and paste job with my work - the last ones were removed from the DLS at my request and I agreed on that occasion to his pleas not to make his actions public.

I hadn't actually tried driving the new Garratt yet or even had a proper look at it as we've been having a lot of thunderstorm weather so I've had my computer shut down at times.
Sounds like it would need a lot of work to get it running properly.
Looks like my vote will be staying with my older Paulz Trainz Garratt for a good while longer.
