This special happened in the summer of 1964 just before Nuneatons Electricfication. K3 1108 which had be privattly brought and was alowed to do some specials this was it first. The train had come down the GCR as fare as Liecester before going across onto the Ex-Midland Railway Line to Nuneaton.

Are First stop was Griff Coliery Branch where are train had to wait to be passed by Griff Number 7 an Austerity class saddle tank.
Before Moving back on to the line to Coventry we caught a few shots of the stone quarry close to the Griff Branch.
Here we see the K3 And 4F passing through Bedworth.
Next the shot shows the train passing through Hawksbury Lane Station with a 4MT with an up train from Lemington Spa to Nuneaton. The odd point about this station was that the down platform was at ground level.
Here we see the 4F Backing up the Hawksbury Branch towards the Power Station at the end of the line.
Are final stop was the Coventry Gas Works.
The train then went onto Coventry and onto Rugby before finally returning the Nottngham via the old Great Central Main Line.
