Hallo Tim,
nice to see your post here and that you followed the development here through all the years.
Thank you for the photos. I found the same pictures some month ago in the Internet
I guess construction activities are to remove several pollution created by the MILW's maintenance facilities. We have several heritage RRs around my hometown and the people who are doing all the preservation needs to take care of such things too. Yes RRs are not always clean as well as the most of the industry grown through the last 100 years. Better concrete materials in our days can help to prevent such pollutions e.g as it prevents oil to get through the bottom of the engine sheds into the soil.
I wish the MILW could have done such clean up by itself and trains would still run beside the - now perhaps smaller - maintenance facilities.
Do you know which locos your grandfather used to operate? If he also lived in Washington he may drove Boxcabs and perhaps the Bi-Polars at the Coast Division.
i hope it will not be a too long wait until you will be able to enjoy the Avery-Drexel-Section in its new now improved and seasonal appearance.
Have a good weekend.
Your's TUME
But perhaps you are concerned about something I don't think about right now.
Looks great TUME! I am looking forward to the release of this great route.
I'm glad to see you are putting my mallet to use too. You may already know this but there are 3 more numbers available on the DLS for that type of locomotive.
