Firstly I wish to apologies for my typing and the mood I was in please accept my apologies for swearing, I did have a problem with patches they brought everything to a standstill . I recently uninstalled the software and reinstalled it at default settings . Its working in a kind of fashion without the patches . I'm unable to access the routes such ECML but that could be a memory error on my system I have windows 7 64bit , 4 Gig memory and a 2 gig Graphics card . I'm planning on a memory upgrade between now and new year . What is EDR patching and where do I find more info . Outside of just the ECML route, are there any others that are broken? What about logging into Trainz. Does that crash too or hang?
If you are unable to access the data within Trainz, this usually means the database has to be rebuilt.
To run the Extended Database Repair do the following:
This is best run when you are ready to do something else away from the computer as this can take time to complete. I usually do this kind of process when I am ready for bed and let it run overnight, or I have other things to do during the day.
Start Content Manager.
Let it load and log in.
Click on the File Menu in the upper left corner.
Click on Extended Database Repair.
Let it run...
When the process completes, you'll see a lot of faulty content in Content Manager.
DON'T PANIC!!! What you need to do now is simply highlight the faulty items and view errors and warnings. Most of the errors will disappear and any that are left are the assets that you need to repair. Post any questions regarding the repairs and we can assist you with those.
The additional memory would definitely help the system especially if you are using a 64-bit operating system. If you are using the 32-bit Windows 7 or Windows XP, this will not matter.
