TRS 2022 from TRS 2019 (what do I gain?)

So, I am on the fence with jumping to the latest and greatest version. What is the real gain or benefit? I am not talking about content (new scenery / routes / vehicles / etc.), but more about what new functions / details / rules / mechanics of the game are changed? You can see by my timeline that I have many different products. I am just hesitating to jump to the latest, without knowing (other than support) what is gained... can someone give some feedback? I thank you in advance for your time.

From https://store.trainzportal.com/pages/trainz-railroad-simulator-2022 about halfway down the page is a list of the new features (the top half of the page lists the new content).

Basically, compared to the other retail releases (not counting Trainz Plus):-

  • Multiplayer Surveyor
  • Unified Driver Surveyor Interface (or UDS currently found in TRS19 PE only)
  • New Effect Layer tools and Presets
  • New Paint Under Spline tools and Paint Effect Layers on Texture tools
  • New Camera Options
  • New Content Store features
  • Game Controller Support for driving and cameras

I have Trainz Plus which includes all the above plus the amazing Surveyor 2.0 (not available in TRS22 without the subscription).

I believe the referenced page needs to be updated. The purchase of TRS22 says "Immediate Beta Access." I believe that meant that prior to the Retail Release of '22 you were provided an "immediate beta access" until the Retail '22 was released that you owned. You WILL NOT have access to future beta releases unles you are on Plus or Gold.

You could purchase a one month membership and have a look at what the beta version offers. The normal purchase is the same but without the S2.0 added at this moment in time.
It is separate from other versions so won't affect already installed versions. Cancel the membership and you then lose access to the TRS22 version until you purchase it.
