TRS 2006 - Auto train movements + track height adjustment

Happy Xmas to all.

I have 2006 and it's brilliant! Some advice please.

1. Can I schedule a train to move between 2 positions of my choice on my scenario?
2. If so, can this train movement be scheduled to run at regular intervals automatically?
3. If raising a track from one height level to another over a distance, is there a way to do this progressively - my attempts make it a "rollercoaster"?

Hi Jules,
a couple quick replies. Someone else can explain this better.

1. You can use Trackmarks.
See 11.8.7 Trackmark and Trigger Tools in the TRS2006_Manual.pdf
Put a Trackmark where you want the train to go to or stop at, give it an appropriate name. Then use the driver command "Drive to trackmark" and select that trackmark in the list. Do the same with one or more trackmarks. You might want a way to turn the train around, such as a loop, and use additional Trackmarks and "Drive via trackmark", so the driver doesn't simply run the train backwards to where he started.

2. You can give the driver a Wait command in between driving between trackmarks. I don't know if there is a way to set a clock time.

3. Use the Gradient tool for raising tracks at a set gradient between each track spline point. Remember "the gradient is always applied AWAY from the spline point closest to where you click." If you click anywhere between the spline points, some will go up and some will go down. So start at on end of the track and apply the gradient in one direction.

3. I tend to design the mountain or hill 1st then run the track over it, Then apply the set gradient height tool this will cut out or apply the neccesary land required where your rails run.
