Trees in TS12

I have TS12 v. 61388, However I have the most horrible trees you can imagine, when I place them all I get are waving branches. I tried leaving them to see if they would leaf out but nothing happens. Would some kind soul please tell me what I have done wrong. Thank you. Dusty.

You can try changing the date to spring/summer.

I'm sure that some speed twees look like pointy, thorn like, gray carrots ... like some horrid abomination from a distant planet the Earth, that do not even resemble trees at all !
