Christmas 2008! :)

Two different editions Trainz Simulator 2009: World Builder Edition (TS2009) and Trainz Simulator 2009: Engineers Edition (TEE) :(.

This sounds as though two purchases may be required for the full experience, not so good. This requires further explanation I think, it looks as though the different content mistake is being made again.

There's a mistake in the features comparison table. TC2 column should be TC3 I think.

Great default track. :D

I agree with you amigacooke. This definatly needs explaining. Why would they separate the Surveyor and Driver systems into two different games? More or less that what it is.

Other than that the default track gave me a heart attack! That looks so very realistic. Very high poly. This will be an interesting release! My sense of "high quality" has been thrown out the window.:hehe:

Cheers,
Adam

But then my sig would blend in....darn it all....and it took 5 minutes to make....all that blasted work for nothing!!! :hehe: :p

Cheers,
Adam

I would like to see some system spec requirements. Besides the game itself many will, I guess, have to, at least, upgrade their systems to new heights.

Theres that horrible word again UPGRADE,were all going to have to upgrade sometime or another, better graphics/lighting,longer draw distances all adds to the load on GPU/CPU,it won't be half as bad as whats going to be needed for MSTS 2,I would agree an early indication of system req would be welcome.

Have we already forgotten "Trainz Driver Edition" from 2006 days? At least that is what I expect the TEE to be. You either buy the full package just like Trainz 2006 so you can create your own routes and add/change assets or you buy the driver edition and get bored quickly because you've driven all the routes supplied. Perhaps you may be able to download complete routes and sessions as well but watch out for those download sessions!

I could be wrong though!

Let me guess ... you are about twelve? EDIT: silly me, that would be to insulting to twelve year olds.

Er, read the profile guy; born in '53.

I think this was all sparked by a 'tongue in cheek' remark that got out of hand.

Another discussion thread that makes it to 14 or 15 posts, and then goes South !
What a funny, fickled forum we subscribe to ?

Could animated junctions make it into 09?,it would be a move in the right direction imo.
It appears Auran is working on making some enhancements to the underlying code for animated junctions, but at a high level, they will still be fixed track pieces that need to be placed seperately (same as in TRS06). 'Automagic' animated junctions are a potential feature for TSX.
