TR2010 and 'favorites'

I must admit I'm very frustrated by some of the programming decisions in 2010. I have just spent over an hour going through the RAILYARD to delete all the various swiss, german, hindustan and outer mongolian stuff that Auran, for some unknown reason, thinks are my 'favorites' and instead selecting what actually ARE my favorites only to click on the 'favorites' toggle button and have the entire list revert to its original selection. I mean, it's not like this is new science, Trainz has been going for years now, how difficult can it be to get even a simple thing like this right? Despite forking out $40+ for 2010, I'm going back to TR2006. I want to play the sim, not piss about all evening trying to get stuff to work.

You will need to change this in Content Manager Ratings.

By default these are set to 5 stars on download of assets from DLS.

5 stars equates to favourites. I've also complained about this decision. What are favourites are my choice not Auran's.

We may get a fix for this if enough people comment. Maybe Sp3 if or when it comes out?

Yep I am sick of going into Rail Yard clicking on the Green button so that all I select well come up instead of all the other crap But NO this does not work I get everything I do not want to spend all day trying to find my Favorite Runing stock all the time Plain and simple Push green button and ONLY FAVORITE STUFF IS SHOWEN pretty Bloody simple I think.

It may drive you nuts, but it seems to be a growing pain. I've fixed quite a bit of content and it's obvious a lot of it robs performance - especially that content that requires searching for a needed file. Earlier versions seem to have ignored things like this that they never should have.

at the moment i dont have time to play and
i especially dont have time to search for the content that i want to run.
and as you mentioned, trying to fix it is hard when you have to go through thousands of dependency files to fix an error by searching for them

I gotta ask, is there a way to GLOBALLY remove the ratings? Terrain textures alone there are 82 useless textures rated as favorites, do I really have to select each one of the 82 in turn and change the rating to one star?

Yes you can remove what you want in one go.
In CM use search filter ratings 5 star
You can be more selective by add other filters such as category locomotives.
Highlight all or some in Main View.
RMB Rating and select 0 star in sub-menu.

Can do thousands this way.
