They've done it again...

From what I can see, this colour scheme (theme) is a standard vBulletin item. I am on a couple of forums using the same version of vBulletin, and they have the same colours.
I'm not savvy enough to know if a user (N3V) can customise the theme or whether they just have to go with ones included in the software package.
I use Opera, and so far have not found any way to alter the page colours as in Firefox. Still, when I put my bifocals on, I can read the text OK.
The forum update was never going to 'improve' things for everybody. Lets face it - if you have two people, you have the basis for an argument or difference of opinion. Live with it.

Dont 90% of websites have a white background...? Like... Google... Youtube...

Maybe, but most web users don't spend 90% of their time viewing those ghastly white opening screens.

Google and YouTube are both used as a transition to a result, so minimal time is usually spent having to put up with the white opening background.

This Forum is a result in itself where substantial time may be spent viewing.

Google had howls of protest and introduced a Change background image function.

YouTube has a high proportion of thumbnails on search which vastly reduces the proportion of visible white background. Viewing a video at regular size reduces the whiteness still further. Going full screen eliminates the white totally.

Hi,

Great to see the stops arrive back on line... :D I am curious to see if I get a stop for both my TS12 download and my recent buy of the boxed anniversary edition of TS12 as I got a great deal on that one (yes, sadly, no special special edition.. :'()

Missed the forum the week it was gone, great to have it back, strange colors or not, I get adjusted to it most of the time, just spent half an hour catching up after being gone all day donating money to out Government as I was stupid and not understanding a new sign I never seen before and instead of stopping, figuring it out, I said to my self it meant what a similar sign mean.

Of course, luck run out, police had a control, he was actually very sad he had to give me a ticket because I was very, very confused after driving into a walk only area and not only crossing a walk only street as I had thought the sign meant...
But, as he was on a control duty, had no choice and I was kinda happy to give money back to out State.
More then half my monthly income (around US$700... - about what I in worse cases get 3 Cripple Creek old photographs for... :'()

So, great to come to the Trainz forum and avoid that stupid feel inside of me a little. :hehe:

Thanks for making this place a great place to visit and both laugh and enjoy the time and sometimes share tear or two for sad stuff happening.
.. and for giving me a place to share my stupid non Trainz stuff as I have no Trainz stuff to share anymore...

Anyway, take care all out there in this world of ours, hope Trainz brings you lot of joys, I am slowly luring my self back with an ancient old map project of mine finally thanks to TransDEM shifting of DEM function and brain working again, making it possible to hopefully get back into this game other then the Forum part.

Thanks my friends out there for holding out with me, thanks to Trainz makers to for making a great program I am proud to have many versions of, and for having this forum for us!!

Best wishes all, I am off to bed, it is 0152 at night here in Norway...

I don't care who likes the station stops or not. I don't care if you think a version or add on was expensive and not worthwhile. I don't care if you think it's stupid or not.

I am proud of every stop in the timeline. Every product I bought from Auran/N3V injected a little bit of capital that was used to further improve a fine simulator. Every piece of content created and uploaded to the DLS serves to fan the flames of enthusiasm for this franchise, every TOTR show I was at sold copies of Trainz, and introduced new people to the program.

Without those of us that support the program by actually PAYING FOR IT, those of you that have no versions registered would be using Trainz CE right now. Trust me, you should be thanking the old timers here that have helped the sim get this far.

~snip~ It's paint shed, it showed on Andy T's several posts back.

Well spotted.

However, everyone seems to have been given the new siding.

The Paintshed “station”, for those who qualify to have it displayed for whatever reason, is set on an additional spur.

Could it be that the new line will eventually have more stations spurs displaying some other older (and possible future) registered add-ons?

When tecknology advances enough, maybe there will be no difference from train simulator and a photograph (and hopefully economy will be better since that will help too)

Hi All
First off, PaintShed...

Originally, it was a separate 'add on' release for Trainz 1.3, and had it's own serial number. We've added a 'siding' in for it on the new forums, and at the moment this is the 'bottom' line's only 'siding'. We do have plans on this though :)

Now, to answer IKB. Can you please send a ticket to the helpdesk (add 'attn Zec Murphy' into the ticket, so that it gets to me) about this, as I'll speak to the admin about it on Monday. :)

Hi Zec,

Thank you for the clarification.:)

As I joined in about 2005/2006, the Paintshed payware version was before my (forum) time, so it is interesting to find out more about it.

Just out of interest, is it planned for the addon packs (SnC etc) to appear on the timeline if the serial is registered on the website?

hi guys waht are you talking about ?

I like the new features too, But remain, letters are still very difficult to read, it's a little better, but not good enough yet for my old eyes. And i forgot to say 'search' don't work good.

I like tings like that too but the question is first of all since i am new to this i need to get up to speed on what you are talking about:wave:

Hi JosephWatts,

As you are a new member, you will not be aware of the forum upgrades that took place at the end of January.

There are a few different posts about it in the General Trainz forum.

Also, if you do indeed have Trainz, it's advised that you register it. I have a thread in this forum which can advise on this if needed.
