They've done it again...

Once again, N3V has redeemed itself in our community.

I would personally like to thank them for bringing back the station stops so we know which version of Trainz everyone has. People might not like it, but it helps HUGELY with tech support.

Thank you N3V. I knew you'd pull through. :D

I'd like to thank them as well. It sure makes things easier in two ways:

1.Knowing what versions a user has, so no need to guess.
2.Identifying unregistered users.

i do like that they are back & they look nice. just one thing; why are some people's below their names& others next to?

Getting them on a straight line requires the screen size to be reduced in size to a point where the text is impossible to read on my 20 inch screen (top image).

There is a problem when increasing the screen size using Ctrl+wheel where the timeine breaks up when it wraps (lower image).

[With apologies for making an example of Andy! (Dermmy)]

I still think that people submitting queries should state which version is causing the problem, particularly if they are not posting in the version specific forum in the Maintenance of Way section. How else will you know which version the member is referring to if they have more than one in their timeline?
Their query may not always relate to the latest version shown.

Furthermore, but perhaps less of a problem, some members may have more than one user name registered under different versions, or may have more versions than are displayed but simply haven’t registered them.

All in all, IMHO, to avoid any confusion any query should always state the version in question.

I see Paint Shed is now also included. I have it, but it doesn’t show. Was it possible to register it at some stage?

Sometimes I'm wondering... Is the station stops more important than you than the versions? Since you seem to love collecting stops :D

Hi again korikovaVL80,

I know this is slightly off-topic, but have you heard anything back from the Helpdesk re: the problem version issue?

Reason I'm asking is because of the fact it's not appearing on your station stops - the term I usually use for that is 'unregistered user'.

The station stops are incredibly important.

It lets us know if someone has a legit copy of trainz, or not.

If they don't have a legit copy of Trainz, then they don't get tech support. We get a fair number of people on the forums asking for help when they have an illegal version of Trainz. In which case, we dont help them.

Otherwise, we enjoy showing off our stuff. If someone has practically every version of Trainz, then congratulations to them. :)

I would personally like to thank them for bringing back the station stops...... :D

Very funy, first they distroy the good looking previous Forum, now you thank them because they repair mistakes. But remain, letters are still very difficult to read, it's a little better, but not good enough yet.

Hey, dont be a hater.

N3V was trying to improve the forums for everyone. You cant expect the implementation to be perfect. You should be glad that we at least have the station stops back.

I'm not a hater. But i hate if unfinish work is published, because it show that internally control inside the firm don't function. About ''N3V was trying to improve the forums for everyone'', don't forget, reading this letters is very hard, where is here improvement for everyone. How much threads are open because new Forum is not good. ''You should be glad'', no i'm not glad, i'm sad because i must look this.

Please let me kniw what's wrong now? I can see juuuust fine, and I like the new features. Auto save post and blogs are my favourite

Happy to see one of the requests of the community being realised in a short time :).

It also helps to know that the person helping you has some experience.
Yeah, but that would require another indicator :p.
No offence, but the station stops only shows the versions someone has registered and the usergroups someone is part of. It technically tells you nothing about experience ;).
Now dont get me wrong here, most of us know you got the experience, but thats told by the content of your posts :) and not even by the number of posts you made.

I like the new features too, But remain, letters are still very difficult to read, it's a little better, but not good enough yet for my old eyes. And i forgot to say 'search' don't work good.

Not me. I'm just a "One-er", although N3V have kindly donated me an extra piece of pale grey track and a siding.:D

Cheers

BTW quoting images is deemed by some as a bit of a no-no; it's akin to watching repeats on TV. You can edit out pictures and various bit of text when replying, (or at any later time). You might have to use the [A/A] button to make editing of images easier.

To everyone who was wondering about the reply to the question about Public transortation giving out copy of Trainz. It have not arrived... Yet, I checked my mail a few min ago. Maybe they are very (very) busy, or simply don't care about these things.

About the limited support, I guess you all still remember what I wrote in that "suggestions thread" when I was drunk.

The station stops, at least to me, feels a little bit "weird", since why should it be stated for example if someone bought "Paint shed", isn't that a bit ridicolous?
