There is a copy of the Book " The General and the Texas",on Ebay right now. I dont think its proper to post a link, but if you do a search,I am sure you can find it. I have collected nearly everything I can get my hands on regarding the "Great Locomotive Chase". Contact me off-list if you want to know more.

AWESOME BOOK!! Wow! It's better than I thought it would be!

Someday soon, (but not TOO soon!) the General in Civil War dress!

Ok! After tweaking it to death, (and I'm GLAD I did!) I submitted it to the DLS tonight! :D :D

IF and when it passes Auran's requirements, then I guess it will be on the DLS.

Plans are to create the cab view, then create a Civil War version. After that, I'll modify this engine to burn oil, (instead of wood), and put a modern coupler on the rear as it is in the museum.

MANY MANY thanks to Robert Pearson of the "Pearson Locomotive Workz" for getting the enginespecs done so quickly!

Don't forget the airbrake! I hope it will be accepted cause I want it!

Being built in the 1860's, it wouldn't have had air brakes. They weren't invented until well after the civil war.

Thats true for the Civil War version, (to be released in the future). The engine above has airbrakes, because the original engine was fitted with them at some time in her long life.

The released engine does not visibly SHOW the airbrakes, yet. When I make the Civil War version, this one will go through a couple of modifications and the airbrakes will be visible between the driver wheels.

It took me a LONG time to find it also awhile back.

Try this: http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php

By the way, it still says "waiting to be processed". I'll post when it is available. Thought it would happen faster than this! But some say "Good things comes to those that wait" while others say, "No time like the present!" :D

Well, I've tried to upload it twice. Once it said it had a specific error, (enginespecs had a "bogus" email address within it I believe. Simply edited the email address and resubmitted.)

NOW I get "Package Image: - Image for Package not found."

I'm assuming, (yes, I know), that it didn't like the image file that was in my "_art" directory, alhough Trainz does not have a problem with it. I DO have to admit that my "image file" is not exactly what the book describes, nor do I have an "icon" file.

Are these a MUST? Or am I looking at the wrong thing here?
