The Alabama & Southeastern RR WIP Thread (Large Screenies)

Number board swaps can be done pretty much everywhere on the line. Send it to Oak Mountain, that way you can take some load off of Montevallo.

Oak Mountain can, but only on a very small scale, same for Birmingham, and Decatur. Try Chattanooga, or Autumnville, I'm actually working on that section of Autumnville right now, the current A&SE Autumnville Shops are a lot smaller than I want them to be, so I'm expanding the shops there and adding an industry, as seen here:

Sean, I have a few reccomendations for the autumnville shops
I see that there is a spur leading to the engine house, the spur, In my opinion is a bit to short, and clearance could be an issue. What I was thinking you could do was extend the spur a bit and cover a bit of it near the end with dirt and grass, which allows clearence and a nice look.
As seen here:

Demo:

I'm still toying with that section, those other shops might not even end up there. But you are right, those leads are way too short, if those shops stay there the leads will be made longer.

That little section looks very nice by the way.

Please tell me which of the above pics you like the most! I can't decide which one I want to submit to the latest screenshot contest.

Found the SD70M-2 demonstrators today, been searching the line for those suckers, the 7172 is also on it's way back to the GSHL and stopped for some fuel.

The joys of working for the railroad :hehe:

Nice shots! The 7172 should be heading southbound dead-in-tow to Mobile, where it'll get its 92 day prior to re-entering service down there.

Doesn't everyone love a good WIP teaser? Slowly starting work on A&SE SW1500's 1650-1656. I'll make clean versions, save multiple backup copies (cause I suck that bad), then do my best to beat the **** out of them, and make it look realistic. But for now, we have this.

These are done on mchawkman's SW1500, so they are releasable and will be released once finished.
