TC3 screenshotz.....

Nice screenies ex-railwayman and a point well made about the yard lamps.I'm sure I saw a shot somewhere and it had LNER/BR(E) yard lamps - the type on a wooden pole with a ladder and a half hoop with a large globe? Think I'll have a look on the DLS.Heres a 40 at Low House with a load of new rails from BSC Workington..:p

Fabulous shot Alan, you'll have to remember to put some reporting numbers on your locos though.....:p ;)
I see you're making wonderful use of Perchpole's bogie bolsters and accessories off the DLS, an excellent choice of rolling stock for the era young man, keep your shotz coming.....:mop:
I've just had a thought, maybe Perchy's crocodile wagons will work in TC3, I'll give them a try, if not, I can always use his tail lamp on other wagons and vans......Stay tuned...

Yesterday saw S301 being tested on a cattle train after an overhaul...

S301-test-run-01.jpg

S301 is spotted sitting in the loco depot prior to winding it's way across the mainline to the cattle train in the background.

S301-test-run-02.jpg

After shunting across to the yard, and performing the brake test, the train is seen departing onto the mainline...

S301-test-run-03.jpg

Now at speed, S301 is seem blasting across one of the many stone viaducts along the line.

S301-test-run-04.jpg

After coasting for a short, the driver has opened the cylinder drains as he opens the S class up again.

S301-test-run-05.jpg

After stopping for a red signal, the driver slowly opens the mighty S class up for the departure.

Great screenshots, S301. Did it collect any brickwork from overbridges? It looks a bit out of loading gauge.

:o:hehe:

yep...

I bought down the steel bridge just outside Carlisle today :P

The cab itself fitted... Just not the funnel and cowling! :P

Now, if on the Scotsman itself had been included... ! :P

Had to make do with Fairway for this one! (Not that the S even got to parallel the Scotsman in Aus :( ).

S301-A3-fairway.jpg

S301 sits next to A3 #60092 Fairway...

Unfortunately Fairway couldn't get it's train above 20MPH, and liked to stop every few miles... :P

S301-from-plane.jpg

S301 is seen blasting along at 60MPH from an aircraft...

On a recent visit from HM Railway Inspectorate the Inspector was appalled to find that none of the S & C stations had lamps! He decreed that no passenger trains should run after dark, so District Engineer Lewisner sent out a team of men at Sunday rate to fix the problem. They only did stations as far as Appleby, but found time to rebuild the road bridge and provide a passenger exit from the up platform...

Nice pic and story lewisner......I hope the lads bought you a pint or two from their Sunday earnings....:p

An observation though, I'd move the lampost from the bottom of the footbridge steps, as anyone rushing down the steps in a hurry will run slap bang into it.....
And hopefully the local council workers will provide a pavement under the bridge, maybe tomorrow, cannot have the local ratepayers paying double time for that....:hehe:

Apart from that, a job well done Sir..

Lol! Happily there is a pub right opposite Appleby Station..:mop: ...Re the lamps I used to have a copy of "Rails In The Fells" but sold it and I need to get a new copy.I have looked on Google Earth and as far as I can tell the road between Appleby and Appleby East stations has no footpath though I have left space under the bridge in case I am wrong..:o

looks good, .... but I have noticed something .... , some of the cars I made belonged to people that I know, that sunflower yellow imp, was the health and safety manager at my works first car ! .... he is probably there to check out the positioning of the lamp posts ! :hehe:

Yes, it only has the UK Skipton to Carlisle line in it.

There have been many posts on this...

Does my avatar count?:hehe:

It's possibility the smallest picture going to see on this thread.

Edited:Where did you get that class 47 ex-railwayman?

Hello Ben, the green Class 47 is PAYWARE from UK Railwaves, have a look at this link for their site http://shop.alphatwofive.com/index.php?cPath=25

The green duffs are in the volume 2 pack, but they are all excellent models, so if you can afford it, get both packs......:mop:

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

P.S. I appreciate that you are a younger member of our community, so, if having to buy these locomotives puts you off, there are a couple of green Class 47's on the DLS, search under kuid numbers 82132:4741 and 82132:4742.

P.P.S. Nice avatar BTW.....

It's not the cost that puts me off.

It's the couplings.:hehe:

Thanks for telling me.

But I'm thinking of buying the multiple units.

Not done but almost done. Few tweaks on the bogie and loco textures and adding the air brake scripting for dual brakes.
